A quick question, one of the modifications listed of the Nightflyer is a +1 handling. Am I wrong or this modification is not available for PCs starships in the RAW? Or does it appear in a supplement of the game?
Cheers,

That's correct. The Nightflyer cannot be built within the printed rules. Hopefully this will change.
I thought so, but I was really doubting because it is such an obvious modification to do on a starship, that it cannot be it is not included in the RAW so far!
Thanks
I bet when the mechanic book comes out we'll get a lot more ship attachments.
It is odd that such an attachment wasn't include in the CRB, but we'll see it soon enough. Either as Samo suggests in a mechanic book, but chances are we could see it in the smugglers book too, I think.
From what I have seen there appears some manoeuvring attachment in Jewel of Yavin too, I think. I don't have the book so I don't know for sure. Also, that might be airspeeder specific for all I know.

All of the Attachments from Jewel of Yavin are limited to Silhouette 2 vehicles. I'm not entirely sure why on some of them, particularly the one that enhances weapons. It can enhance the Autoblaster on a speeder but not that same weapon on a Firespray?
This is what I did:
Advanced Control Systems
A series of advanced controls and hull modifications that increase the handling ability of any vehicle. The hull modifications also allow for the vehicle to withstand more system strain.
Price: 3,000
Rarity: 5
Hard Points Required: 2
Base Modifications:
Optional Modifications:
I'd be very hesitant making the handling also give bonus to strain. Personally, I'd probably have it reduce system strain - the reasob being that the handling modifications require a bit more maintenance.
My thinking was that if you modify the chassis to accept the better handling, it could also be further modified to take more strain. It makes sense to me for the two to go hand-in-hand: you'd only get just so much benefit out of better handling if the frame couldn't take the added stress.
I know, they're starships, not cars
But heck, I'm not a car guy, so it may not even work like that.

They're probably holding back on those until the Bounty Hunter supplement comes out.

It still seems illogical. It's a "just because we said so" line of non-logic. If they wanted to limit that Attachment to just Auto-Blasters, and Blaster Cannons (Light and Heavy), it would still (mostly) limit it to weapons mounted on Silhouette 2 vehicles, but it could still work if larger vehicles mounted these (generally inferior) weapons. And then it would make some sense...
Don't they specifically state the modifications in the CRB are examples and that the GM should feel free to add more?
