So, I was thinkin (a dangerous prospect, I'm sure).
I love putting Adrenaline Rush on Defenders. The fact that 2/3s of its Turns are red are the only thing keeping this beautiful beastie in check, and I want to let it rage.
And then, I realized: Hang on a tick! Captain Yorr and Wingman are both things!
For the former, I like SableGryphon's Buzzsaw shuttle build (FCS, Gunner, and Engine Upgrade), and the tactic of only peeling off 1 stress at a time, dissappating it into the aether by performing a green maneuver, and both ships getting their actions.
Doing this with Deltas leaves 5 points for upgrades. If the Onyxes are 32 points rather than 33, they're exactly the cost of Sable's regular buzzsaws, and I could slide an Intelligence Operative onto Yorr to boot. Otherwise, it's a Captive for Yorr and 2 points initiative bid.
For the latter, you can either pick a single ship, or 2 Black Squadron Pilots. I went for the latter, as that leaves a dedicated wingman for both Defenders, freeing me up to do formation flight or pincer attacks, or as is the wont with Defenders, both on alternating turns.
Wingman doesn't let me keep my action when I get stressed, but it DOES let me do a non-green maneuver the following turn.
Doing this with Deltas left me with 8 points of upgrade-space, which I elected to use for 2 Engine Upgrades on the Defenders. Now they have a few more ways to hit 90* non-stressfully, and have some wonderful interactions with the Koiogran as well.
