Normal rules apply, so yes. For that matter, if you have a corvette firing on you from range 4-5, you might get more than that.

Same rules apply as normal with smaller target ships. If the attack is from a primary weapon, it gets one die for Range 3, 2 for Range 4, 3 for Range 5.
