After reading other peoples topics and comments on this site since i bought the game, this will be my first topic. I hope you all reply well

On the review the makers of Talisman made on the Talisman island website they mentioned that all the expansions were planned so that all the bits would go neatly in to one box.

I have both the reaper and dungeon expansions and all the cards dont seem to go very well in the slots. As their are more expansions planned i would have thought the box shouldnt feel full already.

Could people add pictures of how they are keeping all their bits in their box, my dungeon cards seem to be homeless at the moment...

Definitely interested in this. Also, I have been keeping my eye open for a tray designed specifically to hold Talisman cards instead of just stacking them on the table. With more expansions on the way, it might become even more needed. FF should sell one....

This is how I have arranged my cards.

The boards and rules sit on top of them and the box lid is only slightly proud of its normal position.

like what you have done with the cones mine are still in the bag.

where are your adventure cards cant see them.

Also cant seem to see your 24 plastic minitures

Dont know why i have only just noticed you put your adventure cards on their side in the small box.. i had my characters in that one. . have now put them in to the one the coins are shown in out of their packets to make them easer to go through.

the packets the characters came in make good use to separate the coins and the fate tokens and are smaller than the packets you get in the main box giving every thing a more tidy feel to it.

The only cards that are not in my main box are the dungeon cards.

I don't see how i can put everything in one box.

The main box is not made for that..

And if the other 3 realms are coming, then it can never be put in one box.

When that time comes I will starting using ziplock bags.

Remove insert from main box and put all cards/figures in there.

Remove insert from another box and put boards/rules in there.

Like I did with 2nd Edition. All stored in main box and Dragons box.

Since the Dungeon Box is the same size as the Talisman Box, they should have put the same insert as the Talisman. Then we would have plenty of space to add things. Instead we get a huge box with a carboard insert that you can't do much with. Any way to sell the plastic inserts?

And any ideas of putting cards in BI edition :>?

I guess for the BI edition you are better to ditch the insert and use ziplock bags of some sort. Not ideal, but as the cards do not fit in the slots you are not losing anything.

Here is how I done it and it works fine. But I am not sure that one more expansion can fit - I doubt it

With so many old "official expansion" and so many "fan expansion" and still so many themes that were never explored for Talisman (just have a look at "Talismanisland.com" download section), I hope FFG will not stop at what can be contain in one box

But many players here want to choose for one box and put all the cards, boards in it...

But if you look to the Dungeon expansion, you see that it has a very bad inlay,

The only thing what you can do with the dungeon box is placing the boards in it

But actually we may not complain to FFG. Maybe we are asking too much

My 3rd edition main game box hold everything that was publish for 3rd edition back then ( with exception for "dragon + dragon tower" which are too big any game box and too great anyway to hide in box)

John Goodenough said that the box can hold up to 600 cards but if your cards got damage then I will not use the box and look for something else for storage.

If you look to the picture. you see that the space where the adventure cards are in( above the fate token space) is very narrow and it can damaged the edges !!

I have the BI version with upgrade pack and expansions. I threw out the crappy fuzzy insert and put all the cards in snack bags. Three bags hold all the cards, adventure cards in one, dungeon/treasure cards in another, and the rest in the last one. Another bag for stat counters/coins/dice and another bag for minis and one for the character cards. They all sit on the boards in the box with some room to spare.

not much else you could do with the BL edition.

I think every withng will go in the bow with the FF one but very tight squeaze and only if put in the box in a specific way.

I was looking through some Dungeon cards that i have placed into the Reaper box, but my spell ring got damaged on the moment i get the card out of the box ****

Now i have put the cards into plastic again in the dungeon box .

I have buy already the main game twice because of all those damage, but i don't do it with the Dungeon box

Cards can easily get damage around the edges...

Seems to me like we could do with a box that soul purpose is to just holds the cards...

A long box with compartments in for different expansions maybe...Just a thought

Yeah, I posted a similar suggestion about making our own 1 row cardboard boxes (like you get at a game store, only made for these small cards) on BGG. Like just get the measurements of these small cards and map out a template for a smaller 1 row box (maybe pick up a normal 1 row box from a gamestore to see exactly what you need to do) and then just buy one of the 5 row boxes and use those larger pieces of white corrugated cardboard to make a few mini 1 row boxes.

I found a cheap lacquered box with a hinged lid in a market in Vietnam which was a perfect size for my cards (I had a mockup card to test with) and just happens to be exactly the length of the inside of the main box. I also bought a second one for a mate.

In the picture below I have discarded the inserts and placed the main and dungeon board as well as instructions for main, dungeon and reaper all comfortably in the original (BI) box. I put character cards, fate counters, coins and figures in the reaper box. As you can see, the card box has plenty of room for at least a couple more expansions (I used the counters and dice simply to stop the cards sliding around).

The main lid sits very slightly proud of the base due to the reaper box but not enough to cause any issues with tearing etc.
