Is the Tie Phantom Scale right?

By Hugo Y, in X-Wing

Guys, pardon my lack of knowledge in the matter, but, I've played Rebel Assault II when I was a child and I had the impression that the Tie Phantom was a big ship. When I saw the pictures, it seemed a little small for a two pilots freighter. Could you, please, enlighten me with your star wars knowledge?

Thanks a lot

The regular TIE Fighter also looks surprisingly large when you put a person next to it. The cockpit is actually quite spacious as you can see from the Revell models for example (they come with a pilot figure). The Phantom on the other hand fits two but they're quite tightly packed. The scale is spot on.

Wow! Thanks for the reference, guys. I've just noticed the pilot seat is a little bit in front of the co-pilot's one. Now I can sleep in peace... lol

I think that FFG is very meticulous about scale, so stay cool, greettings.

Hmm, comparing the image above the phantom is a tad larger than most TIE's , but the scale disparity is minimal.

What I want to know is "Where was that full scale Interceptor and can it still be found?"

Where is that interceptor? I must touch it.

I think it was scrapped after the con, like the 3/4 scale X-wing that came before it.

Is "scrapped" slang for "someone loaded it on a truck to place it in his back yard?"

Because I refuse to accept the dictionary meaning here.

scrapping something like that is silly.

auction it off to the highest bidder, and stick them with the task of unassembling, transporting, and reassembling.
