I think wining anything would be good but the more I look at the defender the more excited I am about it. Pred with and HLC is going to Shred. Plus ion cannon and pulse missile always Make me happy.

The smart pick for me would be the Z-95, as I have already pre-ordered enough of the other ships that winning an additional one would not be strictly useful in 100 point squads (outside of maybe more upgrade cards). I would probably go with the Defender though, as it is the ship I have been waiting for since forever, or the Phantom.

The really smart pick is probably the phantom as it seems to be the ship that everyone is most curious about so it might fetch the highest price on ebay

I had a chance to win all four last night. One of the plebs at the local store had accidentally put them all out for sale and it was lucky that I walked in, spotted them and then alerted them to the mistake.

People would have been pissed this weekend if those ships were sold, and of course if you were a less than honorable guy and purchased them some of that anger would probably have been directed at you

Honestly, if I was going to live in a fantasy world, it wouldn't be one where I win a $15 dollar prize after spending $10 as an entry fee. It would be one with space wizard-samurai and laser swords.

We are only charging $3 to make back the $25 on the kit. Anyone else charging more is trying to bank cash. I understand the reason, but we want players.

I've been using Phantom as a screen name ever since I learned there was an 8-character limit on player names in the original X-Wing PC game that kept me from using Poltergeist.

I think I'm obligated to pick that one. Plus, the dial seems insane fun.

Knowing my local store and the amount of X-Wing players we have that are likely to show up, I'd actually defer the choice (if possible0 to where I chose last. Mainly because I have plans, right after the finish of the event, to bump my pre-order with Miniature Market up to where I have 12 of every ship pre-ordered, except the one I get...only 11 for it.

Based on what's out for it and everything? TIE Defender. Predator is absolutely delicious looking.

I pre-ordered 2 of each, so:

Z-95: One I'm most likely to run 3 or more of

Defender: Could see myself running 3, and has nice upgrade cards

Phantom: Fun ship, but can't see myself using more than 2 together in a list

Yeah all 3 of the local stores are charging $5 in my area so winning one ship covers the entry fee of all 3 tournaments and I don't know if part of the surplus will go to store credit for the TO since he is running all 3 in the area (and at least one store says they wish him not to compete, the others i believe said as long as he follows the normal FFG rules and has a second judge their for disputes that they are okay with him playing)

The more annoying thing is that they still haven't got their act together and announced the tournament or have any details about it. Every time I go in and ask them about it, no one knows anything.

Which ever one had the advanced sensors in it, i could use another copy and dont feel like buying another shuttle atm.
