You Just Won a Ship at "Assault on Imdaar Alpha"!!

By Deadshane, in X-Wing

Had first choice last night and took the Phantom. Ewing went 2nd, Defender 3rd and 4th got the Z-95. Kinda funny as everyone said they got their first choice.

Will give it another go today and tomorrow.

Dude did you go to Gamer's Sanctuary in Flint?

Took first place and I was really torn between the defender and the e wing. Actually I really contemplated all the ships. I really think wave 4 has a good balance and I cant imagine not having every ship. I played as the rebels on the final round so I decided on the e wing. I did get a chance to ion pulse missile the higher costed phantom which died on the very next turn. LT. BLount proved very effective.

Took 2nd after finishing 1st in swiss. I wanted the E-wing because of the Advanced Sensor card, but after playing the Phantom in the final game, I took that home instead. Since I recently switched to an Imperial build, I guess I won't be needing another Adv. Sensor any time soon.

Got a second place at ace comics colchester, phantom went first, I took the defender, then Ewing, z95

I've got two of each rebels ships on pre order and only 1 of each imperial, reasons for my choosing anyway

Got first and grabbed the E-Wing! Super excited for it, was my first X-Wing tournament and was in fact the first time I'd played it at 100 points at all.

I got first place twice this weekend.

First I took the Defender....because it seems the flashiest to me.

Second I took the E-Wing. I almost took the Headhunter but third place couldnt decide what he wanted b/c I took the Headhunter first...I told him to take the E-Wing and I would trade him. It was a toss up for me anyway...EWing had the Droids I've been wanting.

No I'm in NC.

I ended up winning a 3rd on Sunday. And technically for a brief period of time had 4 wave 4 ships (1 defender and 3 phantoms) in my possession. I gave my buddy an extra firespray I had so he could run 3 on Sunday, but the deal was if won a ship he had to give it to me. We ended up 1st and 2nd and I claimed my prize(s) just long enough to snap a photo of my 4 wave ships, before giving him back a phantom.

Awesome weekend!!

I finished 2nd but we didn't play the last round, everyone was tired and it was hot in the store. I asked the guy in first what he would pick if he chose 1st and he said E-wing so there was no problem cause i wanted the Phantom, still going 3-0 with 3 Squints was quite rewarding and i only lost 1 squint in 3 games, i'm ready for Phnatom madness:)

I came in second over-all after I foolishly choose Empire over Rebel on the final table then ran into the exact list I was going to run if I ran Rebel. Han Always Crits first. Fancy Phantoms don't mean squat against that list.

I took the Phantom after my opponent took the E-wing. Whoops.

Saturday I played in two events. The first was 6 people. We played three rounds of Swiss and then cut to top two. I had a draw in my first match then went 2-0 (beating the only undefeated player in round three so I took first place). We decided to skip the last match and just pick the ships for 1st-4th because three of us wanted to make another Imdaar event that started in about an hour. I took the Phantom.

In the next event we had 12 players. This event also was 3 Swiss rounds and cut to top 2. I went 2-1 (the one loss was to Andrew who went on to win). I placed third by 1 point in strength of schedule (my strength of schedule was 31, and second was 30). So I took home an E-wing for third place.

In both the above events I ran:

Biggs Darklighter (25)

Tarn Mison (23) + Flechette Torpedoes (2)

Blue Sq. (22) + Adv. Sensors (3) X2

Then today I played in a third event. This event also had 12 players. In this one it was 4 rounds of Swiss. With top two doing The assault in the 4th round but everyone else playing too. I got a full win in round 1, modified win in match 2, then lost match 3. So I was in sixth place going into round 4. I won my last match and ended up third, and I took the Z-95 this time. I had switched the squad up a little today:

Biggs Darklighter (25)

Tarn Mison (23) + R3-A2 (2)

Blue Sq. (22) + Adv. Sensors (3) X2

Very happy with my weekend! Got everything but the defender.

I came in second to DrakRaids, actually, and I scooped up the TIE Phantom. It was my first tourney as well, so I think we both did rather well for ourselves.

I really like the new Imperial ships, if I can just learn to fly them more effectively!

I took home the E-Wing (won with classic BWtD and actually faced the exact same build in Swiss Rd 3). Reason was simple I play Rebels and wanted another Advanced Sensors.

I played:

100 points

Garven Dreis (29)
X-Wing (26)

After spending a focus token, you may place that token on any other friendly ship at Range 1-2 (instead of discarding it)

R5-P9 (3) At the end of the Combat phase, you may spend 1 of your focus tokens to recover 1 shield (up to your shield value)

"Hobbie" Klivian (27)
X-Wing (25)
Unique
When you acquire or spend a target lock, you may remove 1 stress token from your ship.

R3-A2 (2)
– When you declare the target of your attack, if the defender is inside your firing arc, you may receive 1 stress token to cause the defender to receive 1 stress token.

Blue Squadron Pilot (22)

Blue Squadron Pilot (22)

I went into the final match 4-0; losing that one. He took the E-Wing and I took the Defender.

Hobbie and that R3 unti work well together.

I took second in my tournament at the Covenant Store on Saturday. Before hand I was going to pick up the Z-95 Headhunter because of the price point. I would need like 3 to 5 of them to make a cool swarm however after making to the finals and picking the Rebels the Z-95 bit the dust before it even did anything.

I decided to go with the Tie Defender. I love the look of the ship and it can K-Turn for days. I was also really impressed with the Tie Phantom and E-Wing.
