Warding talisman

Once the heroes aquire this treasure card, is it with them forever? Or do they discard it after they use it?

All search items work the same. When you use the flip upside down. Next shopping phase they get credit for the money and the items get put back in the deck.

If you get an shop item card because you pulled the treasure search card you get to keep the shop item card, but the treasure card is put back into the seach deck at the end of the quest.

That is to say all treasure cards must be sold at the end of the quest, whether they're flipped up or down.

So after each quest is finished (both encounters are completed), whatever treasure cards they received from the Search tokens (Health Potions, Stamina Potions, Warding Talisman, etc) are to be sold during the Shopping Phase? Regardless of whether the Heroes used them or not?

I wouldn't look at it as "selling" the cards; they just are gone. The difference is that you get gold exactly equal to whatever is on the bottom of the cards (face up or face down) - like you find loose gold along with whatever item you find.

Mainly, don't divide the gold total in half like you would from selling items.

I just said "sell" to indicate that they get gold, even though it's before the shopping step. In any case, the exact process is described in the first step of the campaign phase, on page 20 of the rulebook. You get gold whether you used the search card or not, and you must return it to the search deck, whether you used it or not.

Okay sorry one last thing about the Warding Talisman, if during Encounter 1 they find it in a Search token, and they use the Warding Talisman, is it then removed from the Heroe & shuffled back in the Search deck? Do they keep it for both Encounter 1 & Encounter 2? I don't believe it's stated on their to "Discard" or "Flip over" or anything. Just wondering what you guys think/have done with this.

If they use it the search card (in this case the warding talisman, but it really doesnt matter which one it is) it is simply flipped over, they still however get the full gold amount if they used the item or not at the end of the second encounter.

The search deck isn't reshuffled until the end of the quest. Between encounters, the heroes keep all search cards, even if they get flipped over. That is, it is not possible for the heroes to draw "Treasure Chest" more than once during a quest, because once it is drawn, it is not put back into the search deck until step 1 of the campaign phase.

Warding talisman does say to flip it over when used, it's the first words on the card.
