Have you ever flown 4 TIE Interceptors? It's a tough group to fly. Even more so since they are all naked. No PTL or SD means you need to fly flawlessly. Or at least luckily ;)

As The Wandering Miller suggested, 4 naked interceptors, especially Alphas, are going to be tough. I would suggest dropping one, giving you 18 points to play with. Then upgrade them all to Sabers + PTL, These are a bit higher threat, since they can boost + barrel roll or vice versa. You should do everything in your power to stay our of arcs with them.

I'm assuming "Engi" = Engine Upgrades, rather than Weapons Engineer.

At that point, if you can find 2 more points at some point, I'd suggest grabbing a Tactician. Or possibly 2, for 4.

I do think that the previous two suggestions to trim out an Interceptor for better pilots is valid, but I'd suggest playtesting both options thoroughly before picking a side. 4 Alphas vs 3 PTL Sabers is a tough match to call, either way.

PTL Sabers get more actions and a higher PS at the expense of less maneuverability and a full ship's worth less of dice, hull, and positioning options. My vote's to stick with what you got, or more accurately, to test.

I flew a pretty close list this weekend... Omicron + Vader and 3x Royal Guard with PtL. Split on the day, but I think it's a solid list. Like anything that relies on Interceptors, you have to be very careful with them, and bad evade dice can ruin your day real fast. But I'm still working at using them to their best. Two of the Top 4 lists at the Kublacon regional made strong use of interceptors, so it can be done.
