Tracking and Recording Played Games

By The Professor, in A Game of Thrones: The Board Game

Westeros Bannerman,

For those who are familiar with the Arkham Horror forum, you know Tibs compiled thousands of games and continues to provide all manner of statistical information. I don't see it readily available here, but was curious if anyone has picked up the task in this forum for AGoT ?

Cheers,

Joe

I have been keeping this, for [63] games now, it's not very detailed though:

The below statistics are for games I have played in, GM'd, or observed. [63] Total Games.
Victories by House, 6p, RAW:
Greyjoy 15
Baratheon 9
Tyrell 7
Martell 7
Stark 6
Lannister 2
Victories by House, 6p, T6 Rules:
Tyrell 2
Lannister 2
Greyjoy 1
Victories by House, 5p Variant (No GJ):
Lannister 3
Tyrell 2
Baratheon 2
Martell 1
Victories by House, 7p, PoD Expansion:
Arryn 1
Victories by House, 4p, RAW:
Baratheon 3
Victories by House, 4p, Variant (TL, Lan, Bar, Sta):
Lannister 1
Player Eliminations by House:
Lannister 11
Greyjoy 7
Martell 2
Stark 1
Tyrell 1

Thanks, SFRR!

I didn't realize Greyjoy was so powerful. Okay, so only the first grouping "Victories by House" makes sense to me as it's a series of 6-player games and there are 6 Houses represented...the other ones, not so much. Can you provide a bit more fidelity?

The stats are interesting, comparing victories to eliminations (V/E)

Greyjoy: 16/7

Baratheon: 14/0

Stark: 6/1

Lannister: 8/11

Tyrell: 11/1

Martell: 8/2

Baratheon seems like a run-away leader on the board with zero eliminations, followed by Tyrell with 11 victories and 1 elimination.

Cheers,

Joe

Joe, it is incongruent, so to speak, to compare victories and eliminations by House, if comparing differing game set-ups.

In the 5p Variant (NO GJ), Lannister is awesome.

In 4p RAW ("Rules-as-Written"), Baratheon has won every game I have observed, played in, or GM'd.

The 4p Variant we have played, actually we have played 2 different versions, but I forgot to tally the results: Lanni is quite good, everyone else is equivalent. We have played TL, Lanni, Stark, Bara; we have also played Marty, Lanni, Stark, Bara. Either one is much better than the "out-of-the-box" RAW set-up which overwhelmingly favors the Bara player.

The T6 Rules (tournament 6-player) are the only way we play whenever we play FtF ("Face-to-Face"). The T6 Rules may be found here:

http://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/97270/t6-rules-for-6p-7p-agot

The 7p PoD ("Print-on-Demand") game is fan-created, I borrowed a lot of material from some Russian guys who play 7p all the time (like 5-6 times per month), it works very well.

SFRR,

Thanks ~ yes, it's quite incongruent, but I was trying to figure out how you were using the victories and eliminations. I appreciate your additional information as it puts the other data in perspective.

Cheers,

Joe

Yeah, it's just kind of "raw data"...if I had started from the beginning keeping track of eliminations by games with varying #'s of players / set-up's...it would be much better. I can only say "non-scientifically" that virtually all of the player eliminations that I have recorded are from 6p RAW games...ugghhh <sigh>
