CR90!

By Klasmars, in X-Wing

This is a beautiful ship. One question thou.. When i gain energy and allocate them on stuff like a gun card that needs energy to function. Can i save the energy on the gun card til the next turn or are they like focus and evade tokens?

Energy stays on the card until used or discarded. You can build up energy every turn to charge everything, which is the general strategy at the beginning of the game.

Energy tokens don't get removed during the end phase as per the CR 75 transport rules insert sheet. Check CR 90 rules insert for "energy" or "End phase" for how energy tokens are handled on the CR 90.

Thanks guys!

One other thing. The CR90 has 1 prime weapon and 2 optional in the front and 1 optional in that big ass of her. So 3 in front, 1 back, 4 total.

Do i understand it correctly if i can shoot with ALL 4 weapons in one turn depending on the energy of course. And can i choose to shoot at 4 different targets if this is the case?

Yes. In fact, all of the offensive potential of the Corvette derives from having multiple weapon hard points capable of firing at the same time. The whole point is to fly perpendicular to the enemy for a broadside attack, though having access to only one target lock significantly diminishes its effectiveness. It's more about saturation than precision fire.

Yes.

Don't forget that, if your three hardpoints have Quad Laser Cannons, if you miss you can spend an energy to fire again. That's a potential of 7 attacks. Add in Roark and they are all PS12 shots.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Roark will get the Biggs treatment in the inevitable Epic FAQ, as will Backstabber.

Oh! one more thing i need clarification on.

The Homing missile card states that:
" the defender cannot spend evade tokens during this attack "
And or but the reinforce rule states that:
" Ships with the action icon in their action bar may perform the reinforce action . To perform this action, place one reinforce token next to either the fore or aft section of the ship. When a ship with a reinforce token is defending, the reinforce token adds one evade result to its defense roll, but only if that token is assigned to the targeted section."

So does the Homing missile card work or not on the Reinforce action? Is it a new token or a kind of evade token or a evade token?

An evade token and a reinforce token are not the same thing. Reinforce will work normally.

Where in the CR 75 rules sheet does it say energy has to be removed in the end phase? I'm not seeing it. Thanks

Exactly what I was wondering...where does it say this?

He said it doesn't get removed.
