Because it's been four months (and it's more work than it used to be), here's a provisional list of the top 10 posters on the FFG forums, combining the old ones and the new ones:
On the old forums, if you went to the Members listing and clicked on "sort by posts", you would get the top fifteen posters. Unless I've overlooked somebody completely, the above is the list of the current top fifteen.
The three numbers to the left of the name are the position in the list of each person the last two times I compiled the list. (See http://checkwolf.com/ti3/top%20posters.htm ) The numbers after the names are: total posts, posts gained on this forum, posts on last forum.
It sure would be convenient if all the people in contention (including those outside the top 15, like tawnos76, caillin, Sleeper, Grunk, possumman, FunkyBunch) posted in this thread so I don't have to go hunting next time...
P.S. Hey, Corey! Where are our ranks??
Take a little work but could be done.
Bill
Here's a handy reference post for you.
Bill: Yes!
here they are.

4-10: That Voice Again.
11-39: Spectator at the End of the Universe.

140-199: Vigilante on the Path of Glory.
200-299 Confidante of the Great Ones.
300-449: Confidante of the Great Ones and Arbiter of Knowledge to boot.
450-599: Evervigil Qonqueror of Worlds.
600-899: Ascending Fire on Galactic Charts.
900-1299: Predominant Prince of Starlight.
1300-1899: Regnant Demi-God of the Voids.

hee hee.
But I don't recall the numbers off hand. I am sure to be overtaken, but it was not the destination that served me, rather the journey. Now where's that fortune cookie...

Scripts use a combination of python and perl and are currently quite ugly and not user-friendly.
I can just run them whenever you want(takes less than a minute) or send them to you.
Let me know.

I'm in the top ten on the new boards!
Although it's definitely not essential to get the Rating system going again I think it's an entertaining addition to the boards. I mean who doesn't want to be a...
I vote FOR the new names
- Haluni, Ascending Fire on Galactic Charts
Wow. I am actually in the top 5 on these boards?
Regarding ranks, I like the sound of "Joram: Predominant Prince of Starlight"
Now the risk is high, that I start posting in the Tide of Iron thread. (one of my friend just bought it
)
and then mainly in the PbEM's.
Although, recently I have come out of the lurking
shadows and shared my views on various debates.
I think you probably could write a script that could figure that out. But I don't want to write it.
Bill
I think you are actually in the top 4. I think Scubadudes numbers are bogus.
Bill
...though I have to say when some N00b comes in here spewing something or other, I'm a lot less likely to take it seriously than when an oldy-moldy speaks out.

Lol. Sorry guys, ranks were cool, but I honestly don't have any control over the new forums.

Corey,
That quote is from GMO about 1 year ago when we moved to jforum.
I just wrote a script that carries over a old forum thread to new forum thread because of the frustration exhibited by TI3 users over completely losing the old forums. :-)
Thanks,
Bill
That's all in the past now - it's a new era.
Is there even a way to see the number of posts made by members on this new forum?
I don't want a points count, I want a number of posts count
It looks like they might leave it out. A few other forums I have been on have recently removed them as well. I guess they did not like the post count hierarchy that arises.
Much better to spam for points than spamming for post count anyway, at least the spammers win kewl prizes.

Not easily as far as I can tell.
There is a view all messages option, and you could then write a script to count the messages. But I don't know how many messages that options shows.
Bill
I had some 500+ (522?) before one crash, and some 1600+ (1673?) before another crash. Then theres 2640 still visible at the old site that we still use.
Thats a total of nearly 5000 posts for me during the last 3 or 4 years. Somehow I have been left out for the last several lists since I made it among top 10 some years ago.
Well, how about a ranking of the number of twilight games you been in
No one could probably even remember them all.
Or, the number of times you played each race?
That would be an interesting chart to see.
It would show if you can play any race or just one or two well.
Ummmm....

Rosco 2 - Letnev (in progress)
Rosco 3 - Winnu (in progress)

I should say for my above post
t"x" = tied for "x"th place
-w"x" = with "x" players
/"x" = out of "x" players (number of players in the game)
From that it looks like the Norr and Jol Nar are my "achilles heel". Didn't do so well with them.
Mentak, Saar, L1z1x and Letnev appear to be my strongest.
Average with all the others. (Winnu is either terrible or awesome)
