I was asked earlier by a fellow x-wing'er...

Are all cards (mods/crew/etc al) currently released, 'legal' for use in Imdaar Alpha events?

I'm fairly certain that cards from the CR-90, and IA prizes, are not legal for Regionals. Is this correct?

Everything is legal once it is released provided it is not specifically banned in the tournament rules.

The CR-90 is released so its non epic cards are now legal. Wave 4 is not released until after assault at imdaar so they are not legal yet.

OK then... I was sure I read that items released 'during' a tournament season would not be considered legal for the duration of that season. Since Regionals have already started. I figured CR-90 and Wave 4 (cards and ships) wouldn't be legal.

The tournament rules give that as an example of why something COULD be banned. They also specifically stated that in North America everything is legal upon release.

When in doubt check with the TO.

I would actually say that Wave 4 will remain banned for use at Regionals after AAIA, as AAIA is a PRE-RELEASE event. They will remain banned untill after the street release date,

After that, I would actually expect them to come with a "these are not tournament legal till XX/XX/14 (day after last regionals/day before Nationals season begins)", but without that, they would be legal on release date.
