Hello Everyone,

I recently purchase the core rulebook at a bookstore and had a quick question. In reviews from last year, there was a short insert with an introduction included with the book. I do not have that insert, however it appears to be included in the early pages of the book. Did they release a new printing that included that insert with the book? I essentially just want to know if I'm missing something and need to return the book. Thank you in advance!

The short answer is yes, you have the second printing. It also includes a number of corrections and some errata.

Edit: An easy way to tell which printing you have is to look at the code above the UPC on the back of the book. The first printing says "159MAR13" and the second printing says "1919NOV13."

Yeah, sounds like you got a second run, there's a code I don't recall, but if you turn to the page on ship systems (looks like a datapad) if sensors use the computers skill you're holding one of the newer print runs.

Mine says November and sensors use the computer skill, so I must have the newer print. Thanks for the responses!
