I've been having great games with Blood Daggers (XXBB) lately, Red's + Daggers w\ Adv Sensor. Gunna take that to all three days of gaming in my area.
Unofficial Imdaar List Thread
I'm running with:
28: Dutch w/ Ion
26: Garven Dreis
25: Blue squad w/ Advanced sensors
21: Rookie pilot
I've liked it so far, but it is EXTREMELY action dependent.
For the final round speculation list I was looking at Etahn, Blount and 2 rookies but I also really like this:
42: Coran Horn w/ VI, Fire control system,
R7 astromech, flechette torpedos
23: Tarn Mison
23: Gold Squadron
12: Bandit Squadron
I think I like this route better considering I'd likely be facing a three ship, high PS build. Coran is higher PS at 10 and his FCS/R7/flechette combo looks like a lot of fun for putting his opponents in tough situations.
If he stresses a ship on the joust then it can't K-turn when he does so he won't get shot on his off turn. It's especially good against the phantom with its near mandatory ACD or stygium.
Kir Kanos + Shield Upgrade (28)
Carnor Jax + VI + RGT + Shield Upgrade + Hull Upgrade (34)
Soontir Fel + PtL + RGT + Shield Upgrade + Targeting Computer (36)
(98)
Above is a modified version of a squad I sometimes run. Below is what it originally was.
Kir Kanos + Hull Upgrade (27)
Carnor Jax + Opportunist + RGT + Shield Upgrade + Hull Upgrade (37)
Soontir Fel + PtL + RGT + Shield Upgrade + Targeting Computer (36)
(100)
Any thoughts?
Addendum: No, for the last time, I'm not switching Shields for Stealth Device.
Plan is to use Han to dish out lots and lots of Crits between the co-pilot, marksmanship, and Etahn.
I don't know if it's different in your games, but I've found that when people I play against try to use a YT and Merc against me they can never seem to get those range 3 shots to work. just a thought.
True, but it's 2 points that I couldn't justify as being better spent anywhere else, and it will encourage people to keep either out of range, or in range 1-2 which gets effectively removes a defense die from them for me. I think that's worth it.
Krassis Trelix - HLC, Seismic
Captain Jonus - Assault Missile, Seismic, VI
Royal Guard - Stealth
So I have a dilemma. I want to try an imperial list for this tourney since I did rebel at both store championships.
I've been doing REALLY good with this list on vassal, 19-6 to be exact.
Kath + HLC + Seismic + Predator
Bounty Hunter + Gunner
Academy
Problem is that predator isn't legal yet obviously. I'm debating between taking PTL which would be the closest substitute, albeit inferior in most cases, or taking a recon specialist so my offense goes down but my defense goes up.
Thoughts?
Swap the Gunner and HLC, put Expert Handling on Kath, and bump the AP to Obsidian.
As to my list, for the nonfinals I would run:
Krassis + Rebel Captive + Ion Cannon
Backstabber
Night Beast
RGI + PtL + TC
And for the final (which I will probably never make) I have several builds, none of which are set in stone. Since I KNOW everyone will put a Falcon on the table I am thinking of not pulling a high Phantom low Defender but doing the exact opposite.
That is almost exactly the same list I posted in another Imdaar list thread.
The only thing I had different is running Dark Curse instead of Night Beast. Which I would drop the TC on the RGI and sit at 99 points for initiative. That way I'm shooting at PS 6 for 3/4s of the list. I would run DC with Krassis as a tandem. Both will be a pain to engage. If they choose to ignore them and go for my flankers Krassis will just come in from behind and Ion/ take close range shots. Between the two flankers on the FS and Tie, someone is going to be getting uncontested shots in unless they complete break formation, which is fine with me.
For the final... I just hope I make it. If I'm rebel I'll probably run a Falcon, most likely Chewie to give the list some tankiness and help deal with the Phantom. If I'm Imps I will probably run a shuttle just for the tankiness and to disrupt the middle while my phantom dances around. Should be fun!
I've only decided on my potential lists for the final, which I'll surely not need seeing as it'll be my first time in an official tournament; but it made for interesting hypothetical list crafting just the same.
As a Rebel I'd focus on handling the TIE Phantom's cloaking and as an Imperial I would, reversely, use a list that spends few points on the Phantom in favour of something else, using the Phantom as a sniper from distance rather than getting in close and dirty.
I've yet to decide on the list I actually will fly, but it'll likely either be some sort of Swarm with a flanker or Lambda with a combination of bomber(s) and/or Interceptor(s).

Having played against your list the other night, I have to say it is a hard list to beat. Too bad predator isn't out.
I think for standard rounds I'll take
Soontir w/ PtL, RGT, Hull, TC
Turr w/ VI, Hull
2x Scimitar w/ Seismic
Empire Finals:
Swap Interceptors for
Echo w/ Advanced Cloaking Device
Delta
Rebel Finals:
Blount w/ Wingman & Ion Pulse
Knave w/ R3-A2
Tarn w/ R7
Arvel
Just seems more fun to fly than Falcon.
Though I actually think VI ACD Whisper may be a match for a Falcon 1-on-1 if the imps can control range. Harder to do against Han since you'd need initiative, of course. Roll 4Fv2 versus 3Fv5F until one is dead.
Here you go, all-in as Han Hunters:
"Whisper" — TIE Phantom 32
Veteran Instincts 1
Fire-Control System 2
Mercenary Copilot 2
Advanced Cloaking Device 4
Rexler Brath — TIE Defender 37
Opportunist 4
Heavy Laser Cannon 7
Ion Pulse Missiles 3
Shield Upgrade 4
Ion Pulse in reserve in case Han is too agile to stay at range 3. 96 points for initiative bid. This of course assumes E and Z aren't real threats.

You must have a different name on vassal, what was your list again?
Can I get some feedback on these 2 possible lists?
Soontir Fel (27)
,
Push the Limit (3)
Omicron Group Pilot (21)
,
Darth Vader (3)
Krassis Trelix (36)
,
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
,
Recon Specialist (3)
Total: 100
I like this one for the HLC + Krassis combo, should put out a lot of damage and still have a focus for defense. Vader's un-evadable damage is also a nice counter to certain lists.

I like this one for the Engine Upgrade on OGP, that should let it get back in the game faster. The ships' point values are also a little more balanced (the first list has a 46 points Firespray).
I could also switch out Engine Upgrade for Advanced Sensors to be able to focus even when stalling, keeping it at range 3 for a couple extra rounds and really getting the most out of HLC.
Edited by KlutzProbably the first since you get a higher PS firespray, and the firespray is more maneuverable and more survivable so better chance to get more shots off with the HLC.
