I'm not too keen on the etiquette of secrecy you may pose toward your list, but I'm hoping to see some more lists for Imdaar that I might make me blatantly rip it or decide to include a similar strategy in it. No surprises on upgrades. I'm not a fan of big point sinks like the Delta or Echo, but at least I know what I'll be up against. Soontir just because I have experiance flying him so he can zip around and assist Delta or Echo depending on how bad I fly them, and the fact that Rebels are pretty points heavy with the E-wing as well.

Keep in mind with 6HP and 3 agility it will survive for a long time and is one of the best tanking ships, the issue in my opinon is being required to use it and a Phantom, one wouldn't be hard to fit into a list but both will be

If you're in second for the finial round, your opponent picks which faction you get, so you could very well get one you didn't plan for. Also, if you're in that match you've already won 2nd pick, you've already won a hell of a prize. I know some people have a strong preference, but out of 4 ships you only really want 1?

Finals, well, I've got some fun ideas. But yesterday I played against an HLC Tie Defender, and it was awesome. So my imp list might change.

I've been doing REALLY good with this list on vassal, 19-6 to be exact.

Kath + HLC + Seismic + Predator

Bounty Hunter + Gunner

Academy

Problem is that predator isn't legal yet obviously. I'm debating between taking PTL which would be the closest substitute, albeit inferior in most cases, or taking a recon specialist so my offense goes down but my defense goes up.

Thoughts?

Kath + Deadeye + Recon Specialist + Concussion Missiles + Advanced Torpedoes is pricey but insanely good.

Well, if you attend multiple tournaments over the weekend you don't want the same ship twice, and personally the z-95 is the only one I don't want to win, but most of the excitement is probably just for using the new ships, and the satisfaction of winning

Swap the Gunner and HLC, put Expert Handling on Kath, and bump the AP to Obsidian.

As to my list, for the nonfinals I would run:

Well, maybe not as good, but you could just switch Predator for Rebel Captive...

And for the final (which I will probably never make) I have several builds, none of which are set in stone. Since I KNOW everyone will put a Falcon on the table I am thinking of not pulling a high Phantom low Defender but doing the exact opposite.

I have done some test games with all sorts of different combinations. Rexler is really good, but its hard to get good support for him considering that a low PS Phantom is so easy to destroy. Vessery is not really worth it unless you go with bomber support, and then its hard to fit the Phantom in...

I've found it easier to make effective lists with either Echo or Whisper. With Echo, you need stuff that hits hard to mess with your opponent's target priority. With Whisper, you need stuff that helps her 'tank' (assuming you take Recon Spec + Sensor Jammer). A couple of Academy TIEs can be useful to deny the Falcon's actions or you could try Jax (but he's relatively easy to kill...).

It certainly is harder to come up with a good list with Imperials for the Top 2 match...

I'm leaning heavily towards this:

Wes + Veteran Instincts + R2

Wedge + PTL + R2 + Advanced Proton

Hobbie + R2-D6 + Oppotunist

Works exceptionally well on the initial joust and hits like a freight train, which is good as X-wings are notoriously a bit fragile. I realize PTL is often better than Opportunist, but Opportunist works for a psychological advantage, often making some rebel ships focus instead of TL because of the extra die.

As for the finals I'm thinking of this for Rebel:

Bandit

Etahn

Han + Marksmanship + Gunner + Mercenary Co-pilot

Plan is to use Han to dish out lots and lots of Crits between the co-pilot, marksmanship, and Etahn. Etahn will spend a lot of time evading and chipping in, while the bandit works on crashing into things.

Empire finals:

Delta Squadron + Ion Cannon

Whisper + Veteran Instincts + Advanced Cloak Device

Fel + PTL

Nothing fancy or special here, just deny arcs and try to take them down.
