Storing the Tantive IV

By Seanamal, in X-Wing

I like keeping all the stuff that would only be used for epic in one separate box from my standard stuff. Since I won't use it all the time it is a smaller amount to carry for normal gaming sessions.

Here is what I found. Modified the plastic blisters quite a bit to fit them in, but once that was done it works great. It is a Stanley box, and was $17 at Home Depot.

Wow, I actually have an extra from storing D&D stuff, didn't think it'd fit that. It looks like you've turned that into the "Epic Play Box," which sounds pretty perfect.

i'm waiting to see how it's going to fit with my future imperial huge ship.

Actually, I just ordered a custom tray that will hopefully work with my GW Citadel Figure box/Feldherr XL Hard Case.

Plano Model 3730. This will take a little modifying. Cut one of the three upright divides and you will find that the Tantive IV will fit in like a glove. Added bonus you will have two more divided spaces to place longer X-wing miniatures items in, such as your range finders. Total cost to user, $7ish and about ten minutes with a Dremel and edge (thirty minutes with just a manual cutting tool).

I looked at your site earlier today. I'm amazed that you can afford to manufacture in Australia, the way things are going there. Combine that with me being impressed at your gear.

We are working on trying to get a US and UK solution to save on shipping. We will see :)

KR Multicase

very good solutions

I like Laser Touch's options; especially the split tray which seems far more effective. But I live in the U.S. too. I like the custom options they have too.

I've been looking at Battle Foam

But I haven't see any reviews on it and I was wondering if 3" is the correct height. Yes I can measure it when I get home. Just haven't. Thought I'd wait for Wave 4 release.

Also for Star Wars in general: http://us.battlefoam.com/star-wars-1/

That's exactly what I did. Everything in there is "Epic Play or cinematic only" and I combined the upgrades and such I could use with other ships in my other box. I like it being separated out.

This is my complete storage system. (Except for cards which are in card folders. Nothing new there.) I forget the number of the Plano case but it's double tiered and is highly customisable. I use that to store all of my tokens, bases, dials, etc.

I have 2 Sergeant cases. The grey one is for regular play, the blue one is cinematic. For ease of transportation, these bags clip to each other, one on top of the other. This results in a single over the shoulder bag to carry. Both bags fully loaded are extremely light. Placing the strap over the shoulder leaves on hand for the Plano case, the other for whatever.
This is my arrangement for regular play. I've made space for 2 copies of the Rebel Aces pack when it's out. There's also a spare X-Wing space for when I get a second transport.
This is my cinematic case. Space made for the next transport I get.
I know my setup isn't the cheapest method, but I know it's certainly not the most expensive. It's extraordinarily convenient, easy to move and nowhere as pricey as Battlefoam.
