Assault on Imdaar Alpha: Final Round?

When squad-building in the final round, how are the upgrades going to work?

Suppose the Rebel player wants to fly

Wedge + Outmaneuver (32)

Biggs + R2-F2 (28)

Bandit Squadron (12)

Knave Squadron (27)

Total 100 pts

Problem is, Outmaneuver comes in the TIE Defender pack. What happens?

(inb4 drop Outmaneuver for PtL)

The question isn't, "is this a good squad?", it's "what happens if someone wants an upgrade that's not in the two packs they get their ships from?"

If they don't have an upgrade, they can't use it as far as I'm aware. That would include the use of Tie/D cards for the rebel player, and e-wing/Z-95 adds for the imps.

If you don't have an upgrade you can't use it.

So the Rebel player couldn't say to his opponent, "Pssst, dude, pass me your Outmaneuver,"?

He could say it, but the Imp plyer would most likely say no, whether they are using it themself (very possible) or not.

I believe you may luck out because I am pretty sure outmaneuver is in the E-wing pack, Predator and Tactician are the Imperial only upgrades (not counting the Phantom unique ones)

Edit: yes outmaneuver on wedge would be fun, but I would personally rather run Predator (for after wave 4 is official), because my own experience is I have more trouble landing hits than I do with my opponent evading them

This is correct, and Predator is the only reason I want two Defenders.
