I know this isn't strictly Xwing related, but I've grown to know this community as very giving people. So I am asking for some help from those willing and able to give it. I will be walking in a team for a Relay for Life event next month. We have reached our team goal of $500, but my goal of $100 hasn't been met. If we are able to really exceed both of those, that would be wonderful.

A little about why I am walking in this event. My wife's twin sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Unfortunately, they were unable to locate the cause, so they were unable to test my wife for the same. As a precaution, my wife just had a double mastectomy. If cancer research was further along, this could have been avoided. (As a side note, both sisters are doing well. My sister-in-law recently had her last radiation treatment following her mastectomy, and my wife is healing from her surgery.)

I may be working with my FLS to see if we could hold a charity Xwing event to benefit cancer research in the near future, but for now, I will be walking in Relay for Life. If you are able and willing, you can donate to the following:

Good Luck with your fundraising. I have done the Relay several times myself here in New Zealand. It actually got me into jogging for the first time, I ran for an hour around midnight and then seized up and could hardly move for a week!

F**ing cancer. Had it myself. Kicked it to the curb, but the chemo was horrid. Stay strong and remember what's important in life (hint: the answer is stuff like X-Wing)
