Mirror Image usage

Can I suffer heart to summon image when I used my stamina?

Can I suffer heart to summon image when I used my stamina?

No. If you do not have the fatigue to spend, you cannot summon an image, just like any other skill's fatigue cost. It makes no difference that the cost of "mirror image" is variable based on the number already on the map.

If you absolutely must have one next to you, you can discard all images on the map and then summon a new one for free.

The rule about suffering damage when you cannot spend Stamina is mostly because of OL abilities that force a stamina loss, such as Word of Misery, or the Barghest's howl. A hero always has the choice to spend stamina or not, so he cannot choose to overspend his stamina.

So,can't A Bard use lute to recover other hero's fatigue when he used stamina ?

If he has not spend fatigue up to his stamina, he can, even if he has spent stamina that turn.

If he's exhausted himself completely, then, he can't, as stated above.

base rule p.13

" .. a hero may only suffer fatigue up to an amount equal to his Stamina. .."
so a hero can not use more [fatigue] than his Stamina !

But if something else (everything but the hero) asks the hero to suffer more [fatigue] than his stamina then and only then will he suffer damage instead.

in short if your Bard is full [fatigue] : No he can't use 'lute'!

Edit: oups sorry I was too slow writing ! ;-)

Strangley enough the only skill (that I know of) that lets a hero suffer damage to activate, when he is out of fatigue, is the runemaster's standard skill (where he can spend a surge and a fatigue to do 2 damage).

I still don't really get why, but appearently it's a wording detail.

Didn't knew !!
But it's true !! .. And a bad news for the OL with whom I'm playing Quellen as a Runemaster !!! ;-P

I think it's because it's a "side" effet or more simple what you activate with this power is the surge ability.. the "Suffer 1 [Fatigue]" is only and effect not something you really "activate"

Another exemple would be the power : "I'm the Law" from Marshal here also you can activate it if you are full Fatigue!

"Exhaust this card after a monster within 2 spaces of you resolves an attack that affects you. Perform an attack that targets that monster. Then, you may test Knowledge. If you pass, suffer 1 Fatigue, and that monster gains 1 condition of your choice."

Here you could also suffer 1 Fatigue.. ok only if the test succeds but even if there was no test the logic stays the same, the power that is activated is "Exhaust this card after a monster within 2 spaces of you resolves an attack that affects you . ..." the following est only the effect !

Edit : for Runic Knowledge in fact it's not "spend a surge and a fatigue to do 2 damage" but spend a surge .... you will lose one Fatigue and do 2 more damages
in short

[surge] -1 [Fatigue] => + 2 [Hearts]

is not the same thing as

[surge] => -1 [Fatigue] + 2 [Hearts]

Hi:

I have a question. If I want to summon 4 mirror images at the beginning of my turn at the same time (no previous images tokens summoned before), how many stamina I should pay o use?

6. Even though it's the "same time", they are summoned in sequence, so:

0 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 fatigue
