I think my Tantive IV is the "Crippled" version. I was filming my unboxing and review episode and I had multiple pieces literally FALLING off the ship! I've read that some people's turrets could come off, and mine do as well, but some literally just fell off while I was holding it! Once the video is up you can see, but WOW this is bizarre!

On the plus side - this will make for some VERY easy customization. I expect new turrets and stuff by the end of June!

A little superglue will fix the turrets in place if you're not interested in having them move about. Any other pieces coming off?

One guy at our LGS had an engine fall off his. Nothing that couldn't be fixed easily enough, but still a bit shocking.

I kind of like the fact that you can remove the turrets and antenna. They look fairly fragile. So I think I am going to take them off for storage ... just in case.

I saw one guy in another post is using magnets to let them turn 180 degrees without releasing. I may try that, but for now I'm going to store them off the model.

I love the detailing on the Tantive IV, though.

Lol...When I first saw X-wing at Team Covenants store , me and my wife had 3 fall apart in our hands...An X-wing , Y-wing , and a Tie fighter...The sales clerk freaked out ; that has never happened before...Needless to say this did nott deter us in any way shape or form...It did show me that these miniatures are detailed and fragile...It never surprises me to hear about something broken or has fallen off...Rest assured that FFG'S outstanding customer service will always go above and beyond to meet customer satisfaction...

They do indeed have fantastic CS, I have been the recipient of it and will advocate for them whenever possible.

Still the parts that fell off went back on just fine. I think it will allow for some great customization.

About the ion card: Isn't there an upgrade (I wanna say like ionization reactor or something) that applies ion tokens to something? I coulda swore I saw something like that. Sadly, I don't have my corvette and won't for about another week, so I can't check.

Not only has mine not fallen apart, I accidentally knocked it off my dining room table and it bounced off my hard wood floor. No damage.

My friend's Tantive IV started to fall apart... due to Range 1 Tie Fighter fire! Heyyyyyyooooooh.

Same here. My wash was sloppy and inconsistent. Worst paint job of any FFG product I've seen. I repainted my Tantive IV tonight, I'll post some pics soon, but yeah I think it's better now.

The Black TIEs are the easiest to do. Give it a shot!

I'm nottalking about the rotating turrets on the top and bottom - those I'm fine with. My problem was the Single Turbolasers on the side. In my video you can see where one simply fell out on it's own. I've glued it down, because I don't want to risk losing it.

My only complaint with it is that their seams to be a fingerprint on one of the engines...

at least we should be able to find out who the culprit is

No offense, but I watched the video and you sound just a little 'sky is falling', re: turrets coming off...

Technically the top and bottom turrets and sensor dish comes of when you turn them 90 degrees, not 180 degress

Well maybe it's a smart move to magnetize the turrets and antennae for use in games and easy storage...

I got my Tantive yesterday. All in all I am ok with the Product, not pleased, but it is ok.

The paintjob is subpar, and the overall "feel" of the model is that it is very fragile. More than one engine is a bit loose for instance. But my turrets can rotate but won't fall off. It is by far the worst model I have gotten of all my X-wing models.

But despite this I am ok with it, because it is a very cool ship with interesting rules, and I love the game. But if I got several models that where this subpar I would start to whine. The main reason that I dont play Attack Wing is the bad quality models (and that I love Star Wars just a Little bit more of course), but it would be sad if the quality deteriorated in X-wing.

I'm always intrigued why people think that doing a mundane thing like take a toy out of its packaging is so interesting they actually video themselves doing it and post it on a forum like its a public service! Got to be the most mundane thing to watch.

Worse still, its given a sensationalised headline like its all fallen apart when in fact it really hasn't, has it!
