I was thinking about putting Gunner on the CR90. All attacks with the CR90 says "Spend X energy...". Would I then spend energy again to perform another primary attack? I think so but I'm not quite sure.

What do you think?

According to the tournament rules, you can't use Gunner/Luke on the CR-90.

That limitation is in place because gunner on that ship is overpowered. Technically, you can use gunner outside tournaments. If you like using overpowered stuff.

Having said that, gunner on the corvette works like he does on any other ship. If any attack does not hit, you may perform a primary weapon attack. A primary weapon attack does not cost energy. You may spend energy on the pilot ability for an additional die. After that, you cannot attack again this round. With no weapon, primary or secondary. So you better be sure when you activate gunner.
