This is a fun topic to ask...

Now that we have the Colonist book coming out & have Hired Gun & other books, where do you see your PC developing into long term???

The short answer is what you start your PC off with. Smuggler, Trader, Bounty Hunter, etc.

But what do you see long term?? Another Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia type? An Admiral Akbar, Greedo, Jabba type???

I will start...I have my PC (Smuggler Pilot) which started as a Pilot 1st. I wanted him to be Corellian but that book didn't come out when we had character creation so I didn't get the extra 1 to Pilot (Space) so instead I used the normal human stats.

Right now he has 5 Ranks in Pilot Space & 4 Ranks in Range (Light) w/ 4 Agl.

He is Primary Pilot / Secondary Gunslinger. My hope long term is that when the Smuggler book comes out they have something that is similar to a Gunslinger spec. and I can turn him into a true Pilot / Gunslinger. Right now I run around w/ Modified Blasters and I PWN! With my first Dedication point I will use it in Agl, and in the 2nd spec, I will either go 6 Agl or 4 into my Cunning.

My 2nd PC will by my 1st PCs brother, and he will be based in the AoR game so he will be an Ace Pilot / Jedi Emergent. So he will have 3 stats w/ 3s and he'll use the Corellian trait to get 3 Ranks in Pilot...the 1st Spec will be Pilot & the 2nd will be Jedi so he will be modeled off Luke Skywalker, w/o the Rube status. He will be the goody goody hero type, while his brother will be the dark shoot 1st, shoot often, shoot again, then ask questions type.

I started Scoundrel and the group quickly started putting a lot of combat on me so I jumped to Gadgeteer to grab Toughened and to be able to buff up some armor a bit. I'd like to go mercantile a bit and I like the looks of Quartermaster a lot but I am thinking I'm holding off till the Colonist book to look at Entrepreneur. I was kickin @$$ on Skulduggery checks last game so I began to think maybe go to Thief and work towards Master of Shadows.

I like broadening my skill choice as much if not more than what a particular spec tree holds for me. So that's a factor in my thought process.

My guy's the disillusioned former patriot from the Clone Wars and he can't stand government period, thinks they're all liars and idiots, Empires or Republics matters not. I play him like the rough and tumble fringer bounty hunter jack of all trades kind of guy. He works as a Bounty Hunter with the group because it's a good way to pay the bills.

Do they even have bills in the Star Wars universe?? LOL

I'd like my Force-sensitive street rat to develop into a Jedi Knight at some point down the road.

I know it won't be for a while yet, though I've talked with my GM and he's willing to lay the groundwork for such a development. He's already got Force Emergent (should have enough XP to get Force Rating in the next couple sessions), and has done pretty well in developing the left hand side of the Sense power tree and has some growth in the Move power tree (recently learned how to hurl things, but still working on hurling bigger things). So the groundwork is there, and Force & Destiny should (hopefully) provide the necessary means to take that big step into a much larger galaxy.

If he doesn't wind up dead or captured from being wanted by the ISB for "in-depth questioning"...

Oskara has just been trying to keep herself and her sister and her crew alive. Those priorities have been narrowed, recently . She wants the gear that'll keep her alive, she wants to make enough money that she can retire from crime (the campaign's had only a little bounty hunting) and live in comfort and (unbeknownst to her) she wants to make up for some of the very bad things she's done (things have turned a little dark of late).

Mechanically, she's been bouncing around the Bounty Hunter trees (Gadgeteer for the weapon and armour talents; Survivalist for the toughness and hunting talents; and now Assassin for pretty much everything that's not in the far-left column). I'd like her to be better at computers, but we now have a Slicer on the team so it's no longer a priority.

When the Bounty Hunter splat book comes out I hope they get a more investigation-oriented spec (computers, charm, deception, negotiation - whatever gets you to the target quicker).

My Wookiee has done good parts of the Hired Gun Maurauder and Heavy talent trees, and next is likely to be the Outlaw Technician -- he wants to invent whacky things and make whacky modifications to weapons, droids, etc....

However, it all depends on where the adventure goes. If he should run into a Sith or other dark force user and wind up winning that combat (presumably with the help of some of his friends), and manages to snag a lightsaber, then I think that's going to be a pretty "religious" experience for him. In that case, I'd be likely to start going down the FSE tree -- starting with the sense-related abilities.

I was thinking Detective and Reporter would make interesting tack-ons to the Bounty Hunter profession. Based on the description they would probably stick with the whole man-killing thing as required. Maybe a Tracker-type class and a gimmick (non-weapon) tech specialist (someone who can work a jet pack but not a pistol).

Private Eye/Master of Disguise.

I've started out with a Bounty Hunter Survivalist. I'll probably expand into the Gadgeteer or maybe Smuggler areas eventually.

He's a bit of a scoundrel, and is certainly not adverse to violence and skullduggery, but isn't totally selfish and has a sense of honor, as it applies to his cultural background.

Thematically, I'm from a semi-nomadic society on an outer rim planet, although they still have advanced to the level of space flight and advanced weaponry. Its pretty common for people to leave and become bounty hunters as it fits with a culture centered around being warriors and hunters.

I only have a concept going really haven't looked too hard at talents and skills but honestly I figure that these two will be enough for me to begin with. Who knows maybe F&D or other class books will have something that suits me.

Concept: Human (maybe another race) Bounty Hunter Gadgeteer/Smuggler Scoundrel. Basic story is family was on the side of the Republic in the Clone Wars his father serving in the military and his mother a simple cargo hauler during the events and prior but due to view point differences (be it anti-alien sentiments or something else) the son chose to follow both his parents in his own interpretation. His armor will constantly be upgraded and outfitted (perhaps multiple suits to fit certain occassions) with the idea he will never be without a weapon concealed on him (as per the Scoundrel). Haven't thought of Obligation or anything as I would like to run him for a while in a group probably develop it with him in a group. I figure primarily skills from Scoundrel to start and then begin working down the Bounty Hunter's skills. Talents will be a blending of the two to begin with and as the story of the game progresses choose a primary focus from there.

Reynard Kitsune started off life as a bothan street rat on Tatooine. As a youth he ran with a gang of criminals and eventually he ended up working for a hutt as a hitman (Bounty Hunter: Assassin). He's quite stealthy and deadly with a rifle, but not very tough.

I've pitched the idea to my GM that Reynard has earned quite a reputation (after infiltrating the palace of his former employer and assassinating the Hutt in his own throne room) and I proposed that he be approached by a legitimate bounty hunter guild looking for new talent.

If my GM agrees I will take the opportunity to pick up the Gadgeteer specialisation to represent him "going professional". This will have the added benefit of helping him to toughen up a bit. It will also be a good opportunity to take some obligation and then buy some new (restricted) gear.

Reynard's goal is to become the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy!
