CR-90 rules questions

By Ringo67, in X-Wing

Well, I got my Corvette last night and got a chance to play a game with it right away.

I made a few mistakes, like only taking one action per round, but we had a lot of fun with it. The energy management adds a whole new aspect to the game.

One thing that came up was when the aft section was disabled. I had the repair droid in a crew slot in the fore section. Can I spend an energy to use the repair droid to discard a damage card from the aft section, and thereby resurrect that section?

Also, when you get the critical damage card that requires you to put your hard point cards under it until it is resolved, do you lose the energy stored on those cards?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Tried to add a photo from the match last night from my Flickr feed, but kept getting errors. So, I've added a link, at least.

Yes you can. That may make sense for some critical damage cards. Which means you spend three energy.

... and thereby resurrect that section?

No. Nothing in the huge ship rules allows you to flip over the card of a crippled section.

Also, when you get the critical damage card that requires you to put your hard point cards under it until it is resolved, do you lose the energy stored on those cards?

No loss of energy is written on the card. So no. You keep the energy.
