1 Turn Bump Question

By fuzzyinferno, in X-Wing

I have a rules question in regards to performing a 1 Turn and bumping another ship. The rules state that if you would overlap another ship when performing a maneuver you track backwards on the maneuver template until your base is just touching there keeping the maneuver template in between the front and rear guides of of the base. I tried to do this last night and the 1 turn template makes it very difficult to keep the template centered. How do you execute the maneuver?

We just centered the maneuver template with the rear guides on the base, I could also see using the front guides to be correct. I could also see ensuring that the center of the template goes through the midpoint between the guides on the front and back even if that means the template is outside of the guides?

I appreciate your help.

The best method is to "extend" the template with straights in front and in back. Both sets of nubs should be set on the path this creates. It is generally not practical to physically place these extensions, but if you envision where they would be and try align with them you should be able to place your ship pretty effectively.

KineticOperator is correct, you need to "extend" your 1-turn template with a straight maneuver template. Then keep the front and rear pegs aligned on this "extended" template.
