To Peg or not to Peg that is the question!

By splad, in X-Wing

I am wondering is FFG plans to provide a retail soloution for more pegs and bases. Yes Litko has their own thing going on and call me a traditionalist but i like to use the stuff made by the original company. Soooo it would be real good if FFG starts making retail packs of them....for all those broken peg replacements that im sure you all have...

For a second I thought I was on one of those fetish websites again.

I'm pretty sure if you contact FFG customer support, they will replace pegs. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I heard that before. I haven't needed them.

Get ahold of FFG and ask for a few more, i'm sure they will send some

If you're breaking that many pegs you may want to look into how you're handling your ships. In a year of play I have broken 0 pegs.

i have so many pegs from having so many expansion packs. really only need all of them for fleet photo ops. if i was playing in epic or something I'll only have lots of rebels or lots of imps. not to mention i like to only use one peg instead of the two (minus the b wing...).

The OP removed his post. I followed suit.

I second this. I pre-ordered the base game and been playing since it released, what 3 (4?) years ago and have about double what's in my sig. Not one single broken peg.

However, I am looking to replace the pegs as i find then annoying and as for the litko pegs Im not to keen on how they hold the numbers in place.

Been looking at corsec metal screw-in poles but would require converting the ships and the ffg bases

personally i agree with the OP. ffg should release stand alone supplies like pegs, stands and you know like card packs! i may not have any broken or lost pegs yet, though it only takes once with my 1 year old son getting ahold of my stuff and poof! gone.I guess with the pegs they figured we would accumulate so much after buying so many expansions...

The only issue I've had so far is a peg jetting jammed into a Y-Wing so hard that it pulled the nubbin out of the Y-Wing. Spot of super glue - fixed. I tend to leave my ships on their bases on one peg so they all sit in my packing case ready to go. I understand what the OP is meaning though, FFG could do with a line of spare parts for those sorts of bits.

I only use one peg on most ships anyway, but like others, I haven't broken any in over a year of play.. just be more careful...

Lost one to a clumsy friend, plenty of spares so far. Try cust support though, I hear they are great.

Given my experience, and those shared by others, I say they don't need the packs. Instead, contact them ... There is a good chance you'll get a replacement.

I have tons of spare small pegs, but a lot of cracked Large pegs, even with careful handling. They weren't manufactured with the correct tolerances in my opinion.

I asked customer service for 3 replacement pegs due to cracking and I received them, no questions asked.

I've had a few break on me, mainly right near the top.

I've got a crap ton of magnets so I just went to town and now my two x-wings are ready to fly.

My experience with the litko pegs is not that good. If you tend to break the normal ones, than stay away from the litko ones, they snap like the cheap poor quality plastic that they are.

I asked where I could get them and not be chastised by a nobody. Accidents happen and I would pay for replacements. Any other crap keep to yourself.

To be fair, I appreciated the comments about only using one peg. I hadn't considered that and will see how the models look and perhaps convert to that method myself.
