5 Gammas /w Seismics is pretty good i hear.
Howlrunner + 5 Scimitars is getting some buzz.
I placed Top 8 in regionals with a 5 Gamma + Seismic list, and I could have placed higher had I been on my game in that last round.

5 x Scimitars + Howlrunner w/Elusiveness.
On a side note, at the tournament last weekend I used Elusivness to force a re-roll of a crit result and the guy rolled ANOTHER crit, killing Howlrunner. F-You Dice gods (small g because you are truely small!!!!!
i keep seeing bomber posts being only imperial. anyone try 5 golds? comes to 90 and boasts 40 hull/sheilds. not much attack or agility going on but could be fun to play anyways. Too bad the rebels don't have a howlrunner of their own. dreis and dutch might help but not like a howlrunner would..
5 Scimitar w/ Flechette Torps, Seismic Charges could be fun, but that would require me owning 5 bombers.
There are a few ideas here.
A) 5 Gammas + Seismics
B) 5 Scimitars + Concussion/Torpedoes
C) 4 Scimitars + Ordnance + Jonus.
Of these, I like the 5 Gamma list best.
T/B Scimitar Squadron Pilot (16pts) Flechette Torpedoes (2pts), Seismic Charges (2pts)
Could 5 of these work?
Edited by CubanboyWith massed stressing of the enemy limiting their movement options, I would then want to swap out one of the bombers with a flanker, preferably with something like outmaneuver.
In addition to some of the other forces listed. I recommend:
Gamma w/ seismic charge & flechette torp

Gamma w/ seismic charge

5 bombers, one can be used as a blocker with PS2. Additionally the new torps are invaluable w/ 3 attack and auto stress inducing as long as the defenders ship is 4 or less. This can come in handy when setting up for charges. I think the loss of a bomb and PS bid on one bomber is worth the 2 torps.

Probably because Winged Gudark, his Accountant, his Gardener, and the dude who polishes his Tie solar panels would joyride circles around them tear them to shreds then have the Ties back to the hangar before anyone noticed they were gone.

Indeed, if you want to run all Y-wings you need 4 Gray squadron pilots all w/ Ion cannon turrets.
My favorite 5 ship bomber list is 3Gs

New toys to load it out. I used to go with 3x missiles 3x seismics but new torps and missiles might be just as good. Losing at least 3 dice on the alpha strike to auto stress doesn't sound too impressive though.

you might think so though I did find a thread last night buried in the battle report section of someone running it at one of the regionals and apparently actually did quite well placing 2nd. I think it was 5 golds with 2x ions. I tried finding it again but it was buried on page two through four. I looked at so many reports last night (catching up) can't remember which one it was. On a side note you can actually get up to 42 hull/shields with 4 golds and a outer rim smuggler and still have 3 points left over.

I think you would also have to buy 5 transports since that card ia only found there, lol...At least I think so.
I had hard time against a bomber swarm with howl runner and I think backstabber, at regionals! its a lot of hp! and that bank 1 is nice

Kill some rebel scum without going through their shields!
Next weekend for endor assault I think I want to run 5 bombers so all of these posts are giving me some goods ideas

Proton Bombs dead a face-up damage card. Boom, have a crit. Shields? What do you mean, shields?
Seismic Charges, on the other hoof, hit shields.
