As someone who couldn't care less about canon, I'm really only interested in the mechanics.

When I can see these, I can go: 'okay, this is how the game rules work, and this is how I'm gonna fit them into my concept of our game and our fluff.'

So however it goes is really fine by me.

Technically they're just Beta rules, so there's still time to argue them in a constructive manner.

Still nothing posted about F&D yet though. Could everyone stop refreshing for 10 minutes so the devs can access their servers to upload the news?

There are things they had playtesters do that imply it QUITE strongly. I've just said more than I should.

Hah! He has taken the first step down the path to the dark side, giving into temptation like that, teasing us with his play-tester status and his inside knowledge that he cannot share, but still wants to allude to and use. Unless I'm reading way too much into this statement, perhaps he only knows a play-tester...

I don't know any play-testers, not that I'm aware of anyway.

From what I can recall, both the EotE and AoR betas wasn't for sale after the con - at least so with the AoR beta, I might be mistaken about the EotE beta.

Wasn't the Edge of the Empire Beta given away after they introduced their new star wars game at Gen Con 2 years ago?

By that I mean they had the floor show where they explained their new version of the game and then surprised everyone by giving everyone attending a free copy... I think there was a youtube video about that whether its still up I don't know, but that was back when it was first introduced though.

Haven't heard any attempts at a you tube video of them running Age of Rebellion from Gen Con last year, have any of you?

Both books were available for sale after GenCon from FFG directly and from various retailers. Age of Rebellion was delayed by several weeks before being available to those that did not get a copy at GenCon.

I'm sure as soon any of the Forumites here get their grubby hands on the books they are going to brag about it. <_<

And hopefully what the book contains.

You know. Sometimes I do mind living in this egalitarian and nice country. I think I'll try to get to Gencon next year... sure it's a long trek just for a long weekend, but it is a weekend of gaming. There is a local con, certainly, I might go there this year, but it's not really the same. I assume.

That's a very long trek for you, just as long for me and with the current exchange rate it's pretty much out.
