Also, I was totally appalled that people were hearing this good cause and being angry about it.

Who exactly was angry about this good cause?

I believe it started with Slypheed, but I'm on my phone and it's hard enough to read the latest posts, without trying to reread the whole thread.

And yes, I'm all for agreeing to put the political talk away. ;)

Let me know what you think of Godzilla.

Define 'change'.

Define 'good cause'.

.....and still not a single denial that he's ErikB/AluminumWolf. Case closed for me.

Ach, I ain't trolling, I am legitimately crazy.

This video made me all kinds of happy. Since watching Super 8, I've suspected that JJ 'gets it'. Having now seen this, I know he does. Just the sight of that acrobat in the alien costume took me back to the sense of wonder of films like The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and (dare I say it) Star Wars. It will be nice, when seeing the film, to immerse myself in a wonderful world... instead of just rating the effectiveness of the CG.

Super 8 to me was like Into Darkness. I can't say I disliked it, it's just at the end I felt like I had a series of my buttons pushed and that I should feel satisfied with what I saw, but somewhere in my subconscious something was nagging me keeping me from completely liking what I had just seen.

Into Darkness was like that only a little more obvious, both just weren't what I would call fresh or innovative or inspiring. They were technically outstanding but the story was just not compelling. In the case of Into Darkness it's worse and the story just seemed so hurried and tacked on, I was very unimpressed. Which was all the more frustrating and was compounded by the fact that I really enjoyed the Star Trek reboot immensely.

Kasdan allays my fears about the story though, and JJ visually can make a great movie plus get the frikkin actors to act, so 7 I think will be great.
