Ship Repairs

By Grey13, in X-Wing

My Rebel Transport arrived from Amazon yesterday. I am vey excited to try it out over the holiday weekend.

However, it arrived with it's center engine dislodged.

It came out cleanly. Just looks like someone didn't use enough glue. Nothing worth sending it back over.

So, my question is, what do you guys use to repair/mod your ships?

I want to make it's fixed right so I don't loose the engine down the road.

I have used this to great succes to glue wings. It dries almost imediately and hard as a rock (it is the sort of glue you do not want to get on your fingers or in your eyes though):

Out of curiosity, is there a type of glue you don't mind getting in your eyes?

Yeah I broke a wing on a Tie Fighter and a bit of zap had it back together like new.

really any decent "super glue" will work. Many here probably have tons of it especially if they play other miniature table top games. I have the super cheap stuff from walmart, some from games workshop and even a couple tubes from revell. They all pretty much work the same way. Good thing about x wing, you don't have to worry about plastic clear canopies that immediately get ruined by using super glue.

Good point :)

the new loctite super glues are really nice and have a no drip no clog cap... be careful when squeezing the ribbed sides so you don't send glue flying all over the place.... this is one of the few super glues that i don't seem to waste because it doesn't ALL wind up setting in the bottle once you open it!!! they also have many different formulations for gel and various cure times!

I've used Testors plastic model glue and it works great as well.
