Simple question regarding action tokens

By Conandoodle, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Simple question here.

I have 2 x-wings (rookies) attacking a tie fighter with an evade token.

The first xwing fires and is granted 3 hits. The Tie rolls his defense and gets no evades. However, The Tie uses the token to negate one. Resulting in only 2 hits.

The second xwing fires and scores a single hit. Again, the tie rolls no evades on the defense dice.

Does the Tie use this token again in the same round of combat to negate the 2nd X-wing's hit .. or is it returned to the pile after the first assault.

Thank you for your time.

No. It will returned to the pile after the first use.

Page 12 of the rulebook:

If the defender has an evade token, he may return it to the action token supply to add one additional [evade] result to his defense roll

Thank you so much! I thought that was the case but was just clarifying.

Yep, they're a one use only, so use wisely.
