Ok FFG it's time

By SheepDog, in X-Wing

It's time.

Transport is in hand.

Tantive is here. Shipping to everyone anyday now.

Wave 4 is spoiled, prepped, and on the way.

Rebel aces is printing.

Drop the hammer on us. Unleash the fury. Cry havoc and let slip the next ships.

Whether its huge imps, another aces/theme pack, or wave 5, we don't care.

Just let us know.

You guys have done a wonderful job with these releases. I've have been so pleased with the products and that everything has been arriving on time.

Just let us know.

Where are we going from here?

My guess is that the next wave will be called "Five". Calling it right now.

We're going to Gen Con, that's when you can expect the next announcement.

I think it's okay to have a little bit of a break between releases...

I think it's okay to have a little bit of a break between releases...

Especially considering the fact that we haven't even played with the new wave yet, and people are already concerned about what's next. That's like stuffing yourself silly at breakfast and then asking, "so what do you guys want to eat for lunch?".

Hedonism Bot apologizes for nothing!

Just got my Transport. Can't wait for what's next!

I expect to see the Imperial Epic ships at Gencon and the Wave 5 announcement sometime after that, like Sept.

The next pack will be a scenario and terrain pack. Clouds of Mynocks, Imperial Turbolaser batteries, and a terrain piece that contains an Exogorth. :P

Love that skit :)

Great skit.

"Your mother was a hampster, your father stank of elderberrys and I fart in your general direction. Now leave or I shall be forced to taunt you again."

I think I remember that right.

Love that skit :)

When I was in Afghanistan, I passed a fair amount of time playing Trivial Pursuit with the NCOs in the platoon. One of the questions was something to the effect of "what was the last thing Mr. Creosote ate before exploding," to which I answered "a mint." My squad leader looked me dead in the eyes, asked me "what kind of mint," and of course I responded "wafer thin," accent and all. Ah, memories.

That was the same deployment that I observed, out loud, that my balding team leader's high and tight made him look like he was wearing a skin colored yamaka. When a fellow private burst out laughing, he put us in the front leaning rest, facing each other, until both of us could stop laughing. Needless to say, we were down there for a while.

We need a wave 5 announcement, if only for the reason that we don't have any wave 6 speculation threads yet. :P

Trivial pursuit and deployment is the best! I was doing back to back flights with an entirely new crew except for me (we just read the question cards). We played on both flights. On the second flight, the guy reading the questions was picking from the discard pile from the first flight. Messing with them, I didn't tell anybody that I had just fielded these questions and proceeded to get every question right in record time. They thought I was some sort of genius - until I came clean. As much fun as you can have on deployment I suppose :) . Sorry for the derivitive post.

Also, OP reminds me of this:

I just want to know Imperial huge ships.

Vigil.

Done.

Ground-based combat, with AT-ATs.

Why do people want ground combat in a starfighter game? It's like asking for capital ship warfare. This isn't the point of X-Wing.

Maybe FFG could just make a little piggy bank where people can just go ahead and place their money in for the next wave/ace/huge ship?

In all seriousness we have had a plethora of news regarding huge ships, the ace packs, and wave four since February. It might be nice to have a break from news as we enjoy all the new releases before some announcement at gencon.

Yeah, the only thing I really care about right now is the Imperial Epic ships, but as much as I'm looking forward to the Rebel Aces, It wouldn't bother me at all if we don't hear anything about Wave 5 until Sept or latter.

Yes, please give us a break FFG!

I've only just finished convincing myself to spend over 150$ filing out my collection and adding Wave 4 and Rebel Aces...

1 each of YT-1300, B-Wing, A-Wing, TIE Interceptor and Rebel Aces + 2 each of Wave 4... TOTAL = 178$

I would love it if they made a companion game to X-Wing with ground combat. I don't see this as a starfighter game, but a Star Wars vehicle game. I've never played Star Wars minis or any other type of war game. If they created a system as fun and fluid as X-Wing, I would be all over it. Obviously flight path doesn't lend itself to ground combat directly.

WizKids is adding ground troops to their new Dungeons and Dragons flight path game. Not that I expect it to be some amazing new thing, but it will be interesting to see their take.

Star Wars is known for their iconic vehicles. I can't blame people for wanting the company that has built AMAZING Star Wars minis to give the other iconic vehicles a go.

Snow speeders v/s Imperial Walkers... *Drools*
