Teesside UK regional, a big thanks

By CowboyJesus, in X-Wing Organized Play

Yesterday I took part in my first X wing tournament, the Beanie Games UK regional in Teesside/Middlesbrough. I had an awesome day and just wanted to say a big thank you to the organisers who did a great job, everything went as smooth as I have ever seen an event go!

I made 8th in the swiss and finished top 4, getting beaten by my friend and eventual winner of the event so seems fair, even tho we met in the swiss and I beat him :D

I was running a heavily tooled up Kath Scarlet (PTL, Slave 1/proton torps, anti persuit lasers, rebel captive, autoblaster) and 3x Black Squadron Pilots all with Determination. I've played the list a lot and am very comfortable with it, it has seen a number of alterations over recent months but that was what I settled on; would like to know any folks thoughts on the build.

I believe the final standing will be going into the main regional thread so won't repeat things here.

Best of luck to Dave at the nationals, and hope to see Tees Squadron fly to victory in more events to come!!

It was a nicely run event with a friendly atmosphere. Quick rulings, and nicely laid out venue made the day go smoothly. A lot of friendly folk, and even some relative newbies who had fun. I was surprised at some of the lists that did well, but was nice to see a variety rather in the top 8. Look forward to more events there.
