E-wing pilot Corran Horn????

By threewolftats, in X-Wing

So Von, are you saying you want Tycho in an X-Wing as well?

I'm saying it is silly to say one should be in an x-wing but not the other.

I really don't care who gets put in what ship. 90% of my EU knowledge is from reading wookipedia. But I do think if they ever release shipless card packs that every pilot should get put in any ship they flew within reason. As long as stats and abilities were changed to preserve balance, (mareek would be op on a 3 attack ship, Tycho and a B-wing would be disgusting, so on so forth).

Atleast Corran is popular, I had no idea where eating a boat was from.

Just rereading black fleet crisis e'tahn is a fleet general in the first book. I won't wreck ending for you. Not sure about graphic novels

Tycho could be in a Tie as well....

See, Tycho was in a myriad of different ships, he wasn't "known" for being in one in particular, he didn't have a 'trademark ship'. Corran was in an X-wing 90% of the time, and that was "his ship" the one he was always known for piloting.

I think they need a Porkins Y-Wing. But seriously, repeat pilots in other ships would be cool eventually. Doesn't even have to be the same skills.

FFG has been putting pilots in weird ships from the beginning. I'm surprised people only care now. Maarek Stele is from Star Wars: TIE fighter; the TIE advanced doesn't appear in that game. Captain Kagi is a Theta-class shuttle pilot. Etahn A'baht is an officer, not a pilot. Tetran Cowell is an actor, not a pilot.

Horn also flies a Z-95 Headhunter in Wedge's Gamble. I'm sure that they could use a few more pilots, too.

wasn't he also a pretty good Pilot? he masqueraded as Fel for a while in the X-Wing books didn't he?

Tetran Cowell shows up as an Interceptor Pilot pretending to be Soontir Fel in Solo Command, I Believe.

While true, I can see why they put him in an E-wing. We have so many X-wing pilots and no E-wing ones. I'm almost dissapointed Ooryl isn't the other E-wing pilot...

Ooryl needs to be in this game, the moment I saw Corran was announced I hoped for one of his compadres!

are

Tetran Cowall: I'm going for the Space Oscar this year.

Garik "Face" Loran: But are you a pretty good pilot.?

Tetran Cowall: I'm more than pretty good, Esé. I've got my own squadron.

I still don't know who at FFG didn't want Mara Jade as a Headhunter Pilot, I think she was mentioned with a z-95 more than Cracken and Blount and Bandit Squadron and Tala Squadron put together in the EU

Because Jade Shadow is only 55m, has decent laser cannon armament, tractor beams, and a pair of missile launchers, that's why. Too bad Jade's Fire is ugly.

Well the Z-95 would be a more "main stream" EU ship that she had pilot more than her custom freighters, which leads to problem 2, while I agree the custom freighters would be awesome, I don't think we will see them(or any of the lesser bounty hunter ships) because they are only flown by 1 pilot in the EU they aren't "mass produced" in universe (so they would only have one pilot card) and aren't relatively recognizable (like say the Slave 1)

P.S. before people say the Falcon wasn't mass produced, the chassis(YT-1300) was so that covers the generics and there are plenty of named pilots for it covering that aspect as well

The Jade Shadow could be done similar to the Falcon, Mara Jade as one pilot, Luke as another. Heck, the wookiepedia article mentions a droid docking port so astromechs could fly it. That could mean an R2-D2 pilot, which would be hilarious, awesome, and hilariously awesome, all at once.

Well that is still only 2 pilots every other xpac has 4(and it would be the first time we would have pilots flying 2 ships, Lukeand it would be the 3rd incarnation of R2D2 if you're right)

I'm not a big EU buff, but I'd imagine even if they didn't use R2 in it, there's got to be someone else who piloted it, and can fill that third slot. They could do a similar thing with a generic too, and have it fly a lesser version for the fourth.

Oh, as for another ship that has very limited EU pilots, the IG-2000. There were what, four IG-88 models? Could easily do 2 generics and 2 with pilot abilities, or even have a generic non-droid Assassin pilot, with the droid pilots having something like "this ship cannot have stress tokens assigned to it".

I mean, they could even have three different IG-88s with different abilities, and then a generic one. Oh, or make it the first ship with no generic! I doubt that tho, since then there'd be no reason to buy two... hmm. Much as I hope we don't get to the point where they are needlessly padding the game, I do hope we see some more of the famous unique ships.

I also strongly believe as we see more sets that add additional pilots to current ships, we will see some names piloting multiple different ships.

Keep in mind that even with iconic ships like the Millennium Falcon , Slave I , and Moldy Crow , what is released is a ship model rather than a specific vessel.

The Jade Shadow is a Horizon- class Sorosuub Luxury Yacht, so the ship would be " Horizon Yacht" or something along those lines. Pilots would be Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade, and probably R2-D2 (although Ben Skywalker could also work), as well as a generic "Jedi Agent". A Jade Shadow Title would provide some benefit (hopefully increased firepower, so we don't have the same problem as multiple named YT-1300s).

The IG-2000 , meanwhile, is an Aggressor -class Assault Fighter, so likely " Aggressor" . Although IG-2000 is certainly the most iconic, it is used by other bounty hunters, although many do not work for the Empire and the most notable pilot (other than the various IG-88s) is actually Jedi-turned-Mandalorian Bardan Jusik, who has every reason to hate the Empire.

I'm aware of that, it's just generally easier to discuss these things with the names people are more familiar with.

As far as the Shadow goes, I think Mara had a dedicated pilot-droid that would work as a generic?

Interesting that Bardan piloted an Aggressor, I was vaguely under the impression that Trilon only produced them for the IGs, though given how much hate there seems to be for the Traviss end of the EU it'd surprise me if he made it in.
