I get that they are releasing EU ships.... and EU pilots..... but really..... couldn't their researchers have at least figured out that this particular pilot is from the "X-wing Rogue Squadron" series of books..... in fact he even flew an x-wing before he joined rogue squadron......

bit of a face-palm moment to me at least...... I don't recall him being mentioned as flying an e-wing in all the novels i have read with him in........

Just some creative implying. Rogue Squadron apparently switched over to E-wings for a bit, logical assumption that he would fly one as well. Doesn't mean we won't see him in his X-wing eventually, just that they really needed a Unique pilot for the E-wing.

Maybe his xwing was in the shop that day.

Xwing list has plenty of recognisable and known pilots.E-wing is EU, so they can slap an EU pilot in there and they "It's possible he flew this stuff too." Biggs and Porkins on the other hand...

Corran Horn together with Whistler gave his X-Wing the sort of flavour that it stood apart from your generic of the production line X-Wing. With him in an E-wing and the upgrade options the ship gives us allows for that extra flavour. Once I get my hands on an E-Wing I'm going to paint up a CorSec scheme X-Wing (counts as E-Wing) and use that for him. Until I run into those rules fanatics at which point the actual E-wing model comes out.

What EU? There isn't one anymore. Maybe in episode 7 horn is an E-Wing ace.

I think there weren't many EU options for good E-Wing pilots (or E-Wing pilots at all). FFG could have made up a pilot, but it wouldn't feel fight to have FFG's Joe Schmo flying as good as Luke and Tycho. So, they used a pilot who brings name recognition to the booster & is known to be highly skilled, thus worthy of Pilot Skill 8.

But yeah, I want to see Corran in a green CorSec X-Wing someday. Ivlerlin's idea is a good one.

Thank you, at least I'm not the only one. I was really hoping to see horn in an x wing as well. I know, I know, there are a ton of x wing pilots and they probably needed one who was known to fly many different ships to use as an E-wing pilot. Though thinking of horn with his current ability in an x has me drooling.

The Dark Empire comic trilogy is the only one I know of off the top of my head. Pretty sure he was in an X-wing most of the rest of the time.

Honestly, I have to agree. I would have put Gavin Darklighter in an E-Wing and saved Corran.

I don't mind him being in the E-wing, just glad he's in the game, and in a ship that I think I'll like. (I like fast ships and green dice.) We do have plenty of X-wing pilots for now, especially since the lowly Y-wing only has 2!!

Or that Tainer guy's dad (the one Wes had to shoot) Porkin's ability on him would have been awesome, if you get stressed you remove it though you have a chance to get shot at by your own guy(maybe you auto-ionize yourself)
