At the time of this posting there only remains a few Tickets left to register for the first flight on the North American Championship at GenCon. Hurry before they are all gone!
44 Tickets Left for Flight 1 North American Championship
Well, I'm in. First Gencon. Should be interesting.

You will have a goog time, and soooo much X-Wing to play!
Sweet! I'm in, too!
Down to 36!
Man, wish it wasn't so far away
I'm in too. I managed to get in after spacing that Events went live today at noon. Being late as I was might have been a blessing. The queue was extremely fast, and so was the checkout.
As of now -- down to 34 spots.
First Gencon too... Would I be stupid to save 10 bucks on shipping and pick it up at the will call desk? I foresee like a 2hr line there, but I donno really what to expect.
I'm picking mine up at will call, we'll see

Will call is fine, they have lots of booths open to take care of people. It takes half an hour tops to get through the line. But make sure you go to will call on Wednesday night, when you're not rushed (and probably have nothing else to do besides to go dinner and sleep). It'll be worse Thursday morning, and you don't want to be late to the national championship.

You guys could meet up and cosplay together. Wouldn't that be cute?
On a side note -- it looks like all the "Dogfight" tickets are all gone.

Glad we agree Wednesday night
Hypothetically, if I were to arrive at 7am Thursday morning, would there be anything to do before the Exhibit Hall opens at 10am? It's an hour drive, and I'd hate to make the trek Wednesday just for the badge.
You'll have a longer line to wait in for your badge, no exhibits will be open yet.
100 sold 28 remaining. May be sold out by the end of the day.

No, you will still need to register for either flight 1 or 2 of the North American Championships at GenCon.
Down to 21 for flight 1
So what's the deal with Flight 1 and Flight 2 ... do you pick one or the either?
For those going to GenCon for the first time. I would spend the extra money and get your badge and any event tickets mailed to you. The time and headache that you save yourself is worth it.
FYI -- The X-wing NA Championship Tournament - Flight 2 is generic tickets only -- still $14 [7 generic tickets], and is geared for players that did not play in "Flight 1".
From the Event's page -- "This is a generics-only tournament with preference given to players who have not played in Flight 1."
There are 14 tickets left for flight 1. Yes flight 2 will be held on Friday and is generic tickets only. Getting your ticket for flight 1 held on Thursday grantees you a spot to compete. There' son telling how fast flight 2 will fill up. So if the main reason for going to GenCon is to play in the national championship it's best to grab flight 1.

Whoo.. just bought my ticket.. 10 remaining.
Soooo... How does the "cut to top 8 double elimination" work to determine the winner?

Now that you mention it, I really don't know. I would guess it still has the points system as normal.
Only 8 remain at this point.
