I know I'm not a great writer. My grammar and spelling are below par. I suffer a little from dyslexia. But ridicule over the littlest things like Howl being spelled Howel. Because then you have no idea what I'm talking about. Lets nit pick the crap out of it and support such actions. I'm glad things like Team Covenant are around because you wont see this in their community. People I know wont post things on these forums because of such childish behavior. And I guess to the delight of most of you this will be the last time I do as well. I did this post for my friends and people I know so I wouldn't have to retype it to them over and over. And I thought it would be nice to share with others who want an alternate build to beat swarms other then another swarm. My friends in real life, on vassel, and in Team Covenant come to me frequently for build opinions.

I had a great time yesterday even if my rounds were scored wrong all day and not discovered to the end. Lol. I had a ridiculously high strength of schedule.

Ryan, I know you didn't make it into the Top 8 (because no 4-2 made it into the Top 8), but did you make it into 9-16? One of your opponents was the gentleman who lost all his games (but received a cool Edge of the Empire RPG book). This surely would have hurt your SOS, but I would think this would have been offset by the SC bye.

If the event would have been 5 rounds like it was supposed to be, we might have had four in the top 8. Chris and I for sure with the byes. Which weren't calculated right all day.

Why should it have been 5 rounds? If you are claiming bad reporting/matching, you should probably notify FFG. Otherwise, you might be giving Game Universe an undeserved bad name. I mean, I won several store championships and then forgot all my byes at home. I showed the TO pictures of me holding various SC plaques; told him I would skip the first round to run home and get one in time for the second round; and told him I could get people at the event to vouch for my winning, but he was ardent about sticking to FFG's rules and didn't acquiesce. It seems strange that he would have been so strict about that but then all of sudden have been really lax in the match making. From my perspective, I think Game Universe (and the TO in particular) ran a really solid event.

I don't want to dwell on it. The top eight deserved to be there. I was going to sell my dice anyway.

It would be really unfortunate if there were legitimate issues, but be careful not to be slanderous.

we are seeing a lot of swarms and A LOT MORE Falcons in the current meta. Which I am a little shocked at given a 4 rebel build seems to be better than a YT and two wingmen.

I think with this rise in Falcons we are seeing one thing in particular. Newer players are coming to the game/meta. That alone can promise that we will see a wide variety of builds now and it will be harder to plan anti-meta builds. It almost seems like squadbuilding should be built more around what your are good at flying and minimizing what your squad would be bad against.

well I ran this last night vs 3 ties (all named) and Jax and a basic INT. chewy died second turn Lando held out to the like 6th turn but could not drop a ship to save his life. In hind sight I should have just gunned it with them on the second turn, to get one or 2 less shots. But this list falls apart FAST.

I have yet to do anything with twitch. I do record my games on vassel with microsoft encoder and post them on youtube.

Not yet. I did win. But the challenge was best 2 out of 3. We've yet arranged a second match. Also ESO side tracked me for 3 weeks. Then a ton of tournaments this month.

Siri did Lamdas some justice at WI Reg. Kagi was great for preventing Jax from getting TL. I thought the two were a great comp. And with all the new stuff coming out soon. Just maybe Lamdas wont be so useless.

Siri did Lamdas some justice at WI Reg. Kagi was great for preventing Jax from getting TL. I thought the two were a great comp. And with all the new stuff coming out soon. Just maybe Lamdas wont be so useless.

Not sure where you got the idea that lambdas are worthless but myself as well as others such as Dom and Matt that played in WI as well have had good success with them. I personally like a doomshuttle over the higher PS versions but I have seen Yorr used well as well.

It looks OK. I think i could still totally destroy it with about any build. Lamdas are just limited on movement. Even with engine upgrade and advance sensors. Once behind a lamda. Its useless. I had high hopes for this ship. Other then the Firespray I think its the next best model. I'm really hoping with all the new stuff coming out. There will be some good comps for the lambda. Still the biggest issue they have is no Elite Upgrade. Really FF why? Id be happy to play against it. I'll pick randomly from 1 of 16 builds I have. If someone can prove a good comp with Lamdas Id be happy to play it myself.

My second build in the Gal Cup is a variant of the triple shuttle build. I downgraded Soontir to an RGP to upgrade the shuttles a little bit. So far, I've played it twice, and won both times. I wouldn't take it against a heavy turret build, but that's why it's in the Gal Cup, where I can take my "normal" list if my opponent has a hard counter. I've played the list in a few local events as well: as expected, it does great against non-YT lists. The shuttles are no joke, but it took a while to get used to playing them.

If I'm on Vassal and not playing a Gal Cup match, feel free to ask me for a game. My current Echo list also uses 2 shuttles.

you couldn't destroy it with any build (here's a list for example, 1 rebel operative: 16 points)... that's a ridiculous statement. There is a mountain of evidence suggesting that Lamdas are a really great ship and you just ignore it.

I sometimes consider that. However, in a timed match putting out consistent damage can mean more than surviving, which the Buzzsaw does very well. You also get to move much faster with that boost, so yoi can be unpredictable on the initial approach. I think i only like the Firespray against a the duo Falcon matchup
