I have seen a couple lists in the local meta involving 3 blue squadrons and an outer rim smuggler. Upgrades vary. My problem with it is the b wings start to suffer when they can't jump past the ORS either. Fast ships can usually, after a turn, get around and behind. Changing two of the B's to X's gives them the engines to get behind and turn around. Just wanted some other opinions.

Personally, I'd drop the ORS and put in another Blue, with FCS for everybody.
That will get chewed up at range three
I'm not sure I understand the issue.

This is actually more of a squad building exercise. The B's are getting stuck as they move behind the ORS and I could keep them farther back but that lessens their effectiveness. I personally like trading out two blues for X's so you have speed and maneuverability top get by the ORS I parked in front. Just wanted to hear other opinions
Build the Bs with Advanced Sensors, and this is substantially less of an issue.
I have an escalation fleet with 2 Hypermobile Bs (Advanced Sensors + Engine Upgrades) and a BLocker ORS (Intel Agent + Navigator + Anti=Pursuit Lasers) as its core.
