Team Epic Compendium

Well I think this will be my favorite bit of Epic Play, as I love team play. My ideas on this is to build interchangeable 100pt squads that can be used. I also will probably have one 200pt build for space superiority and the other 200pts with heavy support/bomber craft and cheap fillers. For example, I am thinking of this:

Squad 1 (200pts)

Soontir Fel + PtL + HU + TC

Rexler Brath + Predator +IC

Whisper + VI + Merc Copilot + FCS + ACD

Turr Phennir + PtL + HU

2x RGI + PtL

Squad 2 (200pts)

Howlrunner

4x AP

Jendon + ST 321 + AdvS + EU

Jonus + ST + Homing

Scimitar + CM + FT + Seismic

Scimitar + CM + IPM + Seismic

Scimitar + FT + Seismic

Given my playstyle I'll almost assuredly be running something along the lines of the following.

Transport 30

Comms booster

Bright Hope

and 6 other points of upgrades.

Total 45

Kyle Katarn

Moldy Crow

Blaster Turret

Recon Spec

Total 31

Garven Dreis

Dutch Vander

AKA, the Support Squad 6

And Whatever is left or so point fleet of Combat Effective Efficient ships. Likely BBX or XXB or the like. Good support backbone and and a lot of good ships in the mix.

First off: Greetings from the starter of the Escalation Compendium. Glad to see another :)

Secondly: As someone who mainly plays as the Empire, I see the Epic format as being the playground of the Bombers and Firesprays.

Ions cripple your escorts long enough to see them trampled by your Huge ships.

Proton Bombs ignore your insane shield regeneration, cutting holes directly into your hull.

Proximity Mines explode if you fish-tail onto them, or if your maneuver template manages to spear them, even though you're not performing that particular maneuver.

How would y'alls fleets fare against my Mad Bombers?
