CogO'Two question

By Baphomet69, in X-Wing

I just placed an order with them. My question, for those who have purchased from them, the plastic cover that comes on the tokens, is it also cut with the design (can you use it as a mask when painting)?

It looks like it. Mine just arrived, I'll be painting soon and will let you know.

Yes it does. It's a big help when painting.

I just finished painting my set and removing the plastic. Now, I'm just going through and touching them up.

They really look nice once you paint them.

Thanks, that's a relief.

One more question. I don't suppose the plastic layer covers the edges (spray paint is not an option, right)?

Nope, just the top.

Best bet for painting is a brush, but I used a Sharpie paint pen I had lying around. I just dabbed it on the tokens until they were covered. After removing the plastic, I cleaned them up with a little rubbing alcohol.

Thanks, that's a relief.

I painted my tokens with a watered down white acrylic paint, they came up very nice and the protective cover made the job very easy (only pain is when you are peeling it all off but it's worth it)

Below (L to R) is my FFG tokens, Litko Tokens with crayon coloring and the Cog 'O' Two token with paint.

I asked Cog 'O' Two the other week if they will be making new tokens for the Transport and upcoming wave 4 mini's, great news, they will be. Cant wait to get my hands on some!

How long did it take for them to arrive? I just placed an order last week, and was surprised to find that they wanted to charge me an extra $10 for shipment tracking.

About ten days

About ten days

Well heck, that's not bad. It took me a month to get my Lithuanian play mat.

Not bad to cross the pond, not bad at all... Faster than it took imp aces

They have a very good service, i live in NZ and it took about a week to get my stuff. I also love that they confirm the order within a day of placing it then shortly after that you get a confirmation of shipping e-mail. Very fast and efficient.

Holy crap! I placed my order (and it was a lot of pieces) Friday evening Pacific time (California). I got notice that my order shipped today! If their tokens are half as good as their service, I'm going to be one happy (repeat) customer!

My order arrived today.

I painted them up using slightly thinned white craft paint and a .05 foam paintbrush from Michaels. Two coats, as there are a lot of very small nooks and crannies.

I have begun removing the plastic covering on some of the fronts and backs (one or two of each kind to see how each design looks).

I freaking LOVE these things! Pics here or on their website don't do them justice! I am really, really happy with these.

I have made orders from cog'o'two, litko, CorSec, applied perceptives and a few others and found cog'o'two to be the best by far.

They ship so Damon fast I couldn't believe it.

A week to get to me here in new Zealand from the UK and the shipping was quite cheap and the quality is sooooooo **** good I don't see me getting from anywhere else.

Well not counting my custom templates from Litko......

I actually ordered my target locks and critical damage tokens from Litko at the same time I ordered these (the only designs I liked better at Litko).

I got these in California today from the UK...my Litko order, on the other hand, is still "In Production"... :(

Cog'O'Two are the best tokens I have seen, git mine last week, and a really competitive price!

Painted mine up, took several hours. Recommend both the medium sharpie paint pen and the extra fine for knife work. Pain job looks awesome. Excellent purchase, no regrets whatsoever and wish I had ordered the imperial range rulers as well as my rebel orange ones.

Cog'o' two's tokens are the best:

Ive been looking at them myself for the range rulers ect, they do look really nice and I do like the red set very much. The prices compared to there's out there is very reasonable to me.

I'm hoping they make more premium token sets since I've already dipped too far into my funds for May/June, so need to wait until I get paid. They look **** good though, I've never painted miniatures before but I'm sure it would be good practice....or I may just give them to a guy I know who knows how to paint and ask him to do them for me.
