I responded to a post a while back and then disappeared for a fair stretch but was curious if we have any players in the Stl metro, namely Illinois side? I work a wonky schedule and find myself eager to game on random days. I have a large fleet and a couple slick boards I would love to wear out if anyone local can deal with a casual gamer with a random schedule.......
East of St Louis, Illinois players
Yeah, I live on Scott AFB. I was wanting to see if I could get Fantasy Games to start X-Wing night back up again.
I don't know what it is about the St. Louis area, but I've been really having a hard time finding people to play.
Couldn't get my friends into it. They either thought it was too expensive, would rather play RPGs or would rather play Battletech. ![]()
I live in St. Charles, where there doesn't seem to be an X-wing presence at all. I may have to try and start demoing games places...

I hear you, it sounds like we have the same friends. Most of mine would sooner play D&D 3.5 or Edge of the Empire (not that there's anything wrong with those games) and I can't get them to bite off on X-Wing.
I'm curious to see what the turnout for Imdaar Alpha is going to be like over at Game Nite. Miniature Market is trying to hold its own tournament that same day, but I somehow doubt people are going to skip Imdaar for that.
Me and one of my friends are going to play/demo the game at 6 tonight at Fantasy Books & Games in O'Fallon, IL. We were going to try and get a recurring group to play there every Wednesday. I realize it's a bit of a trek for you guys, but of course the more the merrier.
