Off-Topic Pocket Models Anyone?

By XAQT78, in X-Wing

Does any still have the WizKids Pocket models Star Wars? I have about 4-5 tins full, including partials collections of models/cards.

Was a precursor to this game, but no tactical aspect. What are your thoughts / memories?

I have like 200 something of them, I stopped buying them for a while until I found them on sale for a buck a pack a few years ago. Now I kinda have no place to put them all, and they break really easily...

Nice, yeah I got some deals at the end of their production times. Far from durable, but very creative.

have some, but never played the game at all, ....ive got a ton of z95s though lol

LoL thats funny. It was more a game of war that tactical. But rolling 6 mini dice [ ] <-- size. But they had stuff mostly from movies .. but I have almost complete series.

That's why I got interest in XWing, but even better is the removal of "rarity" and not as harsh as GW $$$ :)

Yeah I know I am raising and old thread from the dead. Still better then starting a new one.

Doing some cleaning at home and found my collection of these things. I had at least one of each ship from the first series and almost three of every card. I only bought the starter tin for the second series when I lost interest. Thought of keeping them around to play game with my kid. Plus I doubt they are worthy these days. Wonder if the foil cards are worth anything.

Bumping said dead thread with.... They're 80% as good as x-wing miniatures for the top-of-my-monitors-at-work models :) Good thing is you can hand them out around the office and star-wars-ify it up! And cheap enough you can build a whole battle in the ceiling.

Yeah it was definatly a way to get a large fleet cheap. Though I spent a pretty penny building up my Tri-Droid swarm. To get the most out of it you had to buy three of the Walmart power packs and three of the target packs. I ended up with three from target and two from Walmart and traded someone for the third droid from Walmart

I think I only played the game twice. The models were fun, but not as game pieces. I got rid of all mine a couple of years ago when moving.
