Does taking a hit from an asteroid strip your SD?

Its not an 'attack' so I didn't think it did. Just want to make sure.

To lose the SDd the ship needs to be specifically targeted by an attack (splash damage and bombs don't work) and have uncancelled [hit] or [crit] results against it causing it to be "hit". Actually causing damage (someone pulls the [crit] using DTF for example) doesn't matter and damage doesn't actually matter if not the target. Blout will also be able to automatically "hit" even without causing any damage.

You don't take a "hit" from an asteroid, you take a point of damage.

The FAQ states only damaged caused by hits that you defend against remove a stealth device. ie rolling defense dice.

So Vader crew doesn't remove Stealth either.
