Short x-wing buyers guide created by contributions from the community here with pros/cons of each place:
Ebay -
Can find some great deals from many different sources. Sometimes w/ free shipping. Fairly random on price ranges depending on the current market and stock levels. Can find 15-20% off MRSP.
Amazon -
A bit more stable than ebay though you won't find as stellar deals as often. Free shipping w/ amazon prime or depending on the source. Can find 15-20% off MRSP. (added by Oddeye; Steak)
Barnes and nobles -
Usually has expansions in stock at a decent price, I have noticed the larger ships never have anything taken off the MRSP.. can be a bit more pricey. (added by Oddeye)
Local gaming shops -
They come in many flavors and we all love them. It's really great to support your LGS as that is where you more than likely play. Typically has a bit higher price than you might find on ebay or amazon though. Some have discount offers on certain stock or if paying in cash. Also a great place to trade in your old MTG dual lands for large amounts of x wing stuff. (added by Oddeye; Steak; ObiWonka)
Book Depository in the UK -
Competitively priced and free international shipping. Great for out of the way places like New Zealand. (added by Mace Windu)
Cool stuff inc . -
Another place to trade in old MTG cards for x wing stuff. Purchases accumulate reward points which can be redeemed for money off future purchases(added by DrStranglovin)
Miniatures Market -
Typically 2/3 MSRP though Imperial Aces is a little higher. Shipping is free from US$99 up and comes by UPS (shipping can be a bit higher outside US). Smaller orders can ship very reasonably using USPS for a few dollars, less than 7 on every order so far, shipments arrive quickly. Purchases accumulate reward points which can be redeemed for money off future purchases. The stuff comes packed securely and with an invoice. (added by Stellar 7; Soulfly626; Digitalkiller)
Fishpond -
wave 4 mini's for $16.5 NZD. p&p inclusive. Has been mentioned that Fishpond has a messy search configuration on the website and often ships from US, some negative reviews. (added my Muz and Stegocent)
Tritex Games -
Great customer service, wave 4 at £8.99 pre order, awesome for people in UK (added by Tankboy)
Mighty Ape -
Possibility of price matching, New Zealand friendly (added by Muz)
Craigslist -
Can find great deals and lots at a good price. Probably the most physically dangerous way to buy miniatures, use at own risk! (added by egudmunson)
