Storage solution solved.........at last!

By Shanester40, in X-Wing

So I finally took delivery today of my Plano 732.......it's huge!, delivered all the way from Spain as Amazon.com will not deliver to the UK, this was the only place I could get one.

It's definitely future proof but with my influx of wave 4 and the Rebel Transport I should now have a nice safe place to store them. Now just got to get organised, OCD here I come!

Ya that particular case is awesome.

I got one last month and could not be happier with it.

It should be the unofficial/official storage case for this game. Plus if you get extra cases they store in the front and you can customize to your hearts content.

Congratz I got one a few weeks ago, loving it. My one concern is that it will not have a place large enough to store the Corvette... Although once they release more Epic ships I will probably have to move the epic ships to a camera case anyway...

I have two of them. They work amazing for the little ships. Not so much for the Falcon or the huge ones.

Out of curiosity, how many of you with a 732 have had problems with the front door staying closed in hot conditions. For the most part, I'm extremely happy with mine, but when the box heats up, the front door flap won't stay closed.

I am currently using a 1374

Starting to run out of space but mostly because I only use 3 trays... a Rebal, Imperial and Game (with asteroids, focus, upgrade, damage cards etc).

The shuttle won't fit in the tray at all... Thinking about battlefoam but that is very expensive and might just have similar limitations...

@ aridia 97th :

I haven't had a problem yet with the front door.

Of course I love in Ohio and for some **** reason it refuses to get warm.

I got a bunch of rare earth magnets though if it does decide to act up.

Failing that, Gorilla tape fixes everthing haha.

Any chance of pics?

I have had mine for almost 2 months now and it is awesome! My question is where did you guys store your transport?

I have had no issues with my 732s. Yeah I had to get a second one for Rebels and one for Imperial. Also grats Shanester40 on getting on of these.

Top Right. It fits quite well (under the clear bubble portion of the top). I Wrap mine in bubble wrap to make sure it doesn't bang around.

Nice

I have a 2 tier plano case, and I use that, along with my Core set box for the bases, pegs and cards , and I just keep the large ships in their plastic and put it all in a duffle bag.

Now with the transport and corvette, plus wave 4, I'll probably have to upgrade soon

Does this come with the storage trays, or do I have to buy more?

How well do the large ships /huge ones store in it?

Was thinking of taking one of my old small suitcase and using that. Lol

Love this game but sure is a lot of pieces to take care of when traveling.

Edit.

Forgot to ask

One mentioned that he uses bubble wrap to spur the transport so it doesn't bang around.

My question is how do you store your large ships in it?

Just lose, or wrap them up as well?

Also someone mentioned it maybe not be big enough for the corvette. Any confirmation on this?

The transport will fit in the wide slot in one of the trays with no issues or modification to the tray. I have both my transports in those trays.

I have a 1363 & I'll be outgrowing it soon. The transport isn't even in there. I would love to upgrade to something like the 732 but I like that I can fit my shuttles and firesprays in the deep trays of the 1363. Does anyone know of something like the 732 but with some deep tray space as well?

@ t7thunders , yeah location's my problem, I'm in central FL, so hot is the word of the day. Planning a magnet install on mine. Otherwise it's a great box!

Check out the battlefoam sword bag, not madly over priced like most of their stuff. The pluck foam is great, I have four of most ships in there though not to sure what to do about the transport or the corvet

The trays that come in the 732 are deep enough to hold Firesprays and Shuttles. I have modified nothing in my trays and all the ships fit perfectly.

The only thing to watch if buying a 732 is this. Some have trays that have 4 rows that are all the same width, and then there are the ones like mine that have 2 small rows and 1 big row. You want the ones like the pic below in your 732.

These trays are also deep enough to hold the transports. They take up about 2/3 of the wide slot.

Thank you!

I am currently using a 1374

I've got two 1374s and all the large ships fit perfectly fine in their 3750s trays, I've even cut all the clamshells so nothing moves.

I could send pm pics if you want?

Those are the plano 3750s, 3 of which comes with the 732, you may consider the 1374 it has 4 of these trays but it a simpler design.
