is it like Dark Curse's ability where its only applied to himself, or is it any enemy ship within range 1 of Carnor Jax is unable to spend focus or evade tokens/actions regardless of whom they're shooting/getting shot at?

It's any enemy ship within 1 range of Carnor Jax that can't perform focus and evade actions nor can they use focus and evade tokens. Pretty brutal ability that makes him dangerous. Regardless of whom they are shooting at.

Its all enemy ships at range 1 of Carnor regardless of who they are shooting/being shot by.

I had a game on Sunday against Jax, and as soon as he got into the middle of the furball, the Rebels started getting hammered. His ability is quite nasty when he's in the right spot.

My friend has been running a list he calls imperial biggs. Basically he just uses all the pilots that normally get focused in imperial lists (Jax, Howlrunner, Soontir, etc.) and hopes that the opponent chooses the wrong targets to focus.

Carnor is my main man and the only way ive found to reliably counter Tycho with PTL.

Unlike Dark Curse, if you shoot at Jax from Range 2 you can still use your focus tokens. Jax's real ability isn't so much to protect himself, but to screw with an entire formation.
