I didn't want to derail the creation thread by trying to identify some ships so i figured a new thread was in order. Instead of just making a quick thread asking to identify one or two things I wanted I figured I would open it up and see what people found and want help figuring out. Not that I am an expert but I figured it would be a good open source for everyone.

It's either a cannon or a boarding tube. I'd opt for the latter.
I'm more confused about the wooden stepladder lashed to the port side.
