transport agility question

By Krynn007, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Just got my transport

Was reading over the manual.

It mentioned that it has 0 agility, but rolls defense for things like range modifiers, and obstacles, and any upgrade that may give it agility.

So if I'm being attacked at range 3 through an asteroid, it still gets 2 Def dice?

I didn't think it got any dice but I guess makes sense

Just want to be sure before I play my first Game Wednesday

You start with 0 dice but add any defence dice for circumstance (range and obstacles).

Note: the reinforce action nets an evade token that does not get spent when defending the section it is on. It is removed at the end of the round. So, if you have reinforced and you get attacked 3 times at range 3 through an asteroid, you get 2 def dice (one for range, 1 for asteroid) and the evade token from reinforce, for each of the 3 attacks.

It just says to add an evade to the dice roll

Im always a little confused by the wording in that.

So I roll 2 dice, does that mean it just turns a blank or focus into an evade, or does it just act as an evade token does like for tie fighters.

2 dice - 1 for range 3, 1 for asteroid + evade?

It functions just like an evade token but it isn't an evade token, you don't "spend" it to add a wavy line result to your dice total, it just does it automatically, for every attack that targets that section of the ship for the entire round

The reinforce token adds an evade result in the same way an evade token adds an evade result - it does not modify any dice.

It is also widely agreed upon that a reinforce token still adds an evade result against a homing missile (since it is not an evade token), although this has not been officially FAQd.
