So with a week to go till my first tournament I have not finalised my list, thought I was gaining to go with 4 X's, now having been spanked twice last week I'm not so sure. Thinking of an A and two X's, what are the general thoughts?

Or do I stick with X-Wings but drop to three with loads of upgrades, decisions decisions!

A and 2 Xs is probably going to have a tough time at a tournament. XXBB is a very popular and solid tournament list structure.

Any combination of 4 X wings should be competitive. I would stick to that and practice a bit. Last time i faced a relatively new player with his X wings, his mistake was sending half around each side of an asteroid in a wide path. I moved to engage two of them and did damage before the other two could get in range. Stick together and focus fire until an enemy dies.
