Empire Dice

By signoftheserpent, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Is a third party app on sale on amazon app store. I've no idea who made it or if they've breached some copyright FFG holds (since FFG has it's own, relatively expensive IMO, app).

I don't know how many people use this, but I tried to purchase it and amazon told me my android tablet (galaxy tab 3) can't run it. Not sure I understand that, these people also have a character manager app (this one is free - as well as a starship manager app that, bizarrely, is not) that works fine.

I have Empire Dice on iOS, it works ok, but a few caveats- when totaling up roll results, it doesn't appear to take into account the additional success from a triumph or failure from a despair. It also does not have Force dice.

I'm pretty happy with FFG's Star Wars branded dice roller. It does all the dice for their Star Wars RPGs and X-Wing, as well as the standard polyhedrons. It costs $5, but it's better than a set of fresh EotE dice at $15.

I'll have to check out Empire Dice, though.

I never refined my dice app for use off a PC. Wrote it in perl and them compressed it to an executable. (see signature).

It does take into account the s and f from the Triumph and Despairs.

Can that work on android?

I use Orokos and one here . Both are free, browser-based rollers.

There is a price to download and it's obviously for EotE, even states so. I think that makes it very illegal?

I'm fairly certain between FFG and Disney, and the phalanx of lawyers at their disposal if they are displeased with this they will send the 'cease and desist' letter to the app vendors and that will be the end of it. That, or they've determined the creator isn't making enough money to justify the cost of the stamp.
